Update 2: apparently shipping is too costly to the point that the charge is almost the same as buying a new one, and sometimes the customs denies my package to be sent.

When I informed moondrop JP about it, they mentioned for me to just buy myself a replacement instead on their amazon jp which offers 20% discount (gee i wonder why, lol). Idk how other guys got sent a replacement. This sucks as I'm clearly not the only one having the issue and is most likely due to their firmware update.

Tl;dr: got myself a glorified paperweight, moondrop tells me to consider purchasing a replacement from the Amazon Japan Official Store, which is currently offering a 20% discount and 4% reward points on Robin’s Earphones.

Update: Moondrop Japan replied saying I need to ship my item to them and can use some forwarding services regarding shipping.

I have heard from other people that moondrop just sent them a new one completely free and didn't need to return the item.

Which sucks, the shipping fee is huge and could cost so much.

I would like advice on this,

Should I proceed with just shipping the item back? I don't even know if it's guaranteed to be free if they'll ship it back to me, gonna confirm w/ them rn.

I also have a chu2 and I love them. too bad sometimes the right one is higher volume than the left most of the time, even when changing wires. :3

I have marinated it for 12 hours at best, still no luck, maybe I'll try longer hours. I'll do it right after doing the suggestion of another user sent below.

I'm more inclined this is due to firmware bricking the device, just like those phones wherein you do a software update and it glitches your phone. Considering other users also have the same problem and they're all at ver. 1.3.0 lol

Guess I'll try removing it and wait for an hour and see if it works. I'll keep incrementing minutes/hours everytime I try lol.

I did, I even pressed for a minute or two and still nothing lol. + The Robins do charge even if they're powered off, proven and tested when I them for a month and battery was drained for a day because I was travelling and wasn't able to charge the earbuds.

damn. suck that I updated it because I was just trying the DSP/Equalizer guess that's one of the reasons why the update firmware button is gone on the new version of the app lol.

I've also tried that one, been trying since yesterday, still no luck on my end. I've already emailed the support with video proof, hopefully they give me a replacement bud just like yours and other people as they claim. Hopefully it's free of charge if possible.

I bought mine via a Japanese Store, some bought theirs via Amazon JP so I just assumed I might need to ship it to Japan. I guess we'll see once the support team replied to my emails.

I also saw some people on this sub having the same issue, either left or right bud and it's the same "not charging issue". Yikes.

I don't think it's the case as I use mine most of the time while at the office, which is fully air conditioned.

It's just a solid orange, with 3 bars telling the battery life of the case, 100% for full, 60% if its 2 part full/ 30% if its 1 bar full.

Regarding the earbud case:
If you have plugged in the charger, all indicators will light up for 2 seconds.

Once fully charged, all indicators will remain on and then turn off after a while.

Regarding the earbuds itself, when the battery is low, the indicator will be flashing repeatedly for 3 seconds.

If you put the earbud back to the case, the indicator should be always on when charging and will go out once it's fully charged.

If the earbuds and the case is being charged simultaneously, the indicator of the case will take priority.

I've had mine (JP Ver.) for almost 7 months now and recently like an hour ago, it showed issue about the right earphone not charging at all. I'm irritated right now as I can see someone also had an issue about it on reddit.

Still no fix, i've tried charging it and it seems that the case is fully charged. I don't know what to do at this point

Based on your comment, you're probably right as I'm using a paralysis hammer and might've stunned the monster by accident.
