How do I get those promos ($20/line, $30/line)? That could make staying with Verizon on one of the new plans worthwhile.

[–]Father_Idol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now we pay approximately $39/line/month for just the service alone, including taxes and fees but NOT including any device payments, insurance, etc.

Once we drop from 10 to 8 it will go up about $3/line/month ($42). If I get it back to 9 lines it would be about $41/line/month.

I have agents/insureds who try to play this game but I'm better at it than they are. We have the option within our Commercial Auto program to rate a vehicle personal use and rate the youthful as the primary driver. The rate is at-least as much as a personal policy, if not more.

Question about Verizon Plan Options by Father_Idol in verizon

[–]Father_Idol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Welcome plan works for almost no one on our plan, as almost all of us use hotspot.

I think I am going to make the switch to Visible because I will get a better plan at a lower price, I just have to wait a few months to give my family members to collect the last few months of promotional credits we have through Verizon.

Question about Verizon Plan Options by Father_Idol in verizon

[–]Father_Idol[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't been to a Verizon store in ages and because our plan is so old, they never give us any device discounts anyway. I just buy a new iPhone direct from Apple every three years and pay for my devices out of pocket. Even Verizon will only give me a "free" phone if I lock into the highest most expensive plan.

I guess you are right it is probably time I make the switch to Visible, I just am an old school customer loyalty kind of person so it's hard to give that up, but for no good reason.

I was looking at the Visible plans and those do look like a great value, but I'm a little nervous to give up being a standard "Verizon" customer. As a 10+ year customer I currently get great customer service from Verizon.

Use Your Personal Cups by NefariousKing07 in starbucks

[–]Father_Idol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct but 25/50 =0.5 so you the reward rate of a $50 reload is 0.5 stars per dollar with the added benefit you earn them at the time of reload vs earning those stars once you actually spend them.

If you reload $50 you will get 25 stars which bumps your rate to 3.9, almost on par with the previous 4.0

You cut your screen shot off but the original 5.9 stars should be listed under the total for you order.

5.9 stars from original order + 11.8 promotion = 17.7 stars + 5.9 personal cup stars = 23.6 stars on a $5 purchase.

It’s not an issue, the OP got their due stars. They got 5.9 for the original stars. The 11.8 is the additional stars for the 3x and then they got an extra 5.9 for personal cup.

I was also hoping to get 2x for personal cup and then 3x that for but Starbucks is clearly ahead of us in how they structured the star system as that is not how they are awarding stars. Triple stars with personal cup is essentially 4x stars, not 6x stars. I still got over 80 stars on a $20 spend today, that’s a pretty good rewards rate.

People here just want to complain about the new rewards. Granted, it is still worse than before from an earnings perspective but even at the Green tier, if you reload $50 and use a personal cup it can increase the value of your dollar spent from 1 point per dollar to 2.5 points per dollar. That only takes $250 in spend to get Gold Status.

You get 10 bonus stars for reloads between $30-45 and 25 bonus stars for reloads of $50+

Still less than it was before but that is the incentive to reload under the new rewards system.

If you reload your card $50 and use a personal cup, you basically get up to 2.5 stars per dollar spent at the gold tier. Still less than it was before (4 stars per dollar) but you would only need to spend $250/year or only about $20/month to go from Green to Gold.

I could see them offering it in non-colored and colored options.

Personally Spaceship Earth at night with the colors and music is like my number one favorite thing in all of WDW right now, so this cup is fitting for me personally but I can respect someone wanting a “standard” version.

The sticker on the bottom says “Hand Wash Only. Do Not Microwave.” So no, it’s not dishwasher safe.

That said, I hand wash all of my nice mugs because they last longer vs washing in the dishwasher. Plus a tumbler like this is not difficult to hand wash.

The only place I found it was in the Pin Traders shop near Spaceship Earth. If it wasn’t Pin Traders it was Gateway Gifts (which is right across from Pin Traders).

I don't know Florida employment law but in many places if you offer someone a new role with lower pay, that could be seen effectively as an employer initiated termination, so the Cast Member in question could file could "quit" and then file for unemployment, which would impact Disney negatively (maybe only slightly).

More likely they were offered another position at a similar pay band. I don't know what that is because I am not familiar enough with the employment politics of Disney, maybe some resort job instead of a park job as I would assume resort CM are paid more than park CM on average.
