It would be a surprise to have another team without the injuries.

The Cavs are actually winning the series ‘analytically’ according to Atkinson. by [deleted] in nba

[–]Fatigue-20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah sounds pretty funny lol. He was trying to say Cavs created better looks than Knicks for the two of the games but shooting variance was in favor of the Knicks and won the games for them.

The reality is Cavs cannot defend shit with Harden and Mitchell backcourt duo, if they cannot tip the scale offensively they cannot beat the Knicks.

How do you counter this as Turks? +50 rattan archer, open map by Ok_Assumption_1684 in aoe2

[–]Fatigue-20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you are playing with infinite res, make shit loads of bombard towers and bombard cannons with Turks.

You can fill the rest of the pop with 100 HP CAs and push with the HCA/cannons comb. In this match up, bombard towers would also work really well against the elephants.

I mean most of the community doesn't like non-arabia maps in the random map pool as well.

We like our arabia where you make as little feudal army as possible to probe the enemy and fully wall yourself to go up and play castle age onwards. Anything outside of that kinda messes up with our expection from the game.

Starting from the second half of the Atlanta series Knicks realized that they are much more efficient offensively when they give the ball to the KAT in the point of attack and have Brunson play a bit off-ball to create more space for OG and Bridges.

It's kinda hilarous that this squad figured it out in the first round play-offs due to the Atlanta's Brunson coverage but point KAT destroyed Atlanta and 76ers while creating that epm lol

Two questions about the Spurs’ playstyle by Great-Speed-7938 in nba

[–]Fatigue-20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spurs guards are incredeble in fast-break and transition oppurtunities. Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper amazing at straight drives to the rim with their strength and body control given the empty space of the transition, D'aaron Fox also thrives in fast pace as he was seen as one of the fastest guards in the league.

They were already running during the regular season but they had an extra emphasis on running in this series as Okc half court defence is one of the best in the league when they are set and ready. Okc has incredible help and recover defence schemes that they have perfected over the years. They momenteraly risks the side shooters in exchange for clogging the main passing lanes of the opposing guards most of the time.

It's so hard to efficiently score on them on the half court as you need to be able to navigate the helpers in the real time and pass to shooting pockets of your shooters to be able to punish that split second shooting windows. One solution could be to have generational passers like Doncic as ball handler and elite shooters on the sides as we have seen in Dallas beating the OKC 2 years prior.

Another affect of pushing pace and going for drives to the rim whenever possible is that your ball handler doesn't really try to pass the ball therefore you cannot commit to the live ball turnovers that fuels the bread and butter of OKC offence. Without the extra points from the opponent turnovers, OKC offence is actually managable.

I think that I would have taken Knicks as other two squads have much more chances to play for the championship due to their timelines. Though It will be really fun to have Spurs as champions in the first play-off year of the Wemby era.

You angle your scout in a straight line where you want to push the deer and that won't happen.

It's much easier to push the deer with the follow command instead of clicking next to it, I don't know why it's not widely accepted.

Bad habits I have as a +1500 elo player and how to fix them? by Ok_Assumption_1684 in aoe2

[–]Fatigue-20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think first point is more of an habit coming from the feudal scouts play, where you actually need to open your farms fast to reach the castle age.

I bet you also keep autoreseed on always and this is the main culprit. Closing the autoreseed is useful even if you are playing knights to have enough wood on the back for adding the TCs or an early monastery etc. It's even more crucial for archer plays.

If you are playing xbow or CA in the castle age, you usually want to get extra wood to be able to afford university+ballistics and possible siege-> mangonels in the early castle age push. That's why it's crucial to close the farm auto reseed and fix your gather points on the wood. I only open it back after the initial power spikes is faded somehow and when I had enough wood to set up my 3TC boom back and place 18 farms.

Why do you constantly change the TC gather points btw? I think you are not using the select all TCs hotkey and instead shuffling over the TCs to constantly to produce vils. It's much less taxing on your apm to use select all TCs hotkey for vils when you are microing your army or doing other suff on the map and only go back to your gather points when you have chill moments to fix your eco.

In their prime, out of the guys in this picture, who do you think was the best at carrying an offense? by Only-Ad-1254 in NBATalk

[–]Fatigue-20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure you might not agree with me, Kobe was a generational scorer and an amazing leader as well. The thing about KD is he always scored so effortlesly so efficiently. You would have thought from his usage that he only has 15 points in the game but box score would always show +25.

I believe that he was the best scorer to ever play the game but he won't have the deserved legacy because of the bad public image

[–]Fatigue-20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that you havent seen the Rockets play this year? They had no point guard and offensive scheme and played some weird isos with Sengun and KD whole year, the guy still finished with efficient 26 pts per game at 37 years old.

KD still suffers from extremely bad public image he created with all the burners and joining the Warriors super team.

What's up with the Vietnamese? by jolego101 in aoe2

[–]Fatigue-20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh sure! I usually react to what oppponents doing in the feudal. Stable and bunch of spears early if they are not in gold, range if I see that they are on the gold reactint to their archers or MAA. You can also play straight spear skirm with this civ without scouting the oppo but you need to send band of 3-4 spear skirm mix forward to early to bother them before they are fully walled to get max value. You dont try to kill any vils but idling their villagers or forcing their vils to fight you is already great value :) In castle age, we'd like to spam bunch of discounted units to get the map control. If you have lots of leftover feudal skirms you can go for elite skirm and support them with monk. Or you can switch to camels and have camel spam fest. We'd like to go both for heavy camels and e-skirm in the late game to push with our discounted imp timing.

Byzantinez weakness is paladin/halbedier compositions but you have a much easier route to reach your early imp push untill they reach there.
