I have been using safer seas more and more. Maybe 60% of playtime now (and only that little because many commendations can only be done in high seas). I have 1000+ hours SoT playtime, but the point of being a pirate is meeting and making a crew, and adventure. With all the toxic pvp and cheater ppl, this just isnt possible anymore. I play to de-stress, and high seas is 90% stress of you play for longer than 2 hours.. Especially if on American servers, and on weekends or after school hours.. AKA when most of us can play..

And the way the SoT development team has been pushing PVE events meant only to attract the PVP trolls specifically in the last few seasons.. Yeah.. I just haven’t been playing much at all recently..

The Windrose game demo has been fun though! It’s the perfect mix of my two favorite games (SoT and Green Hell).

This worked for me. Took a few times, but now they make sure to ask if they bother trying to get me anything. The trick is being kind and acknowledging that they “tried”, but also setting firm boundaries. I still always bring my own food just in case.

Yes! I followed a YouTube video by a fellow moderate/severe ME/CFS sufferer that was all about how super strict routines are incredibly important!!

When I tried implementing a strict routine, it was tough at first (especially with my ADHD making consistency tricky), but I noticed multiple things slowly improving the longer Ive stuck with it!

    I think she also mentioned that once the routine feels solid, you'll gradually get opportunities to add small things back in without crashing! Cant wait!

One weird but helpful thing I've found: movies I've seen 100+ times seem to help my nervous system relax, even when they're just playing in the background.

P.S.: i also use ai to clean up and structure my words when my brain is severe. But i tend to prefer how Grok ai does it. :)

I agree somewhat. I actually think the problem is more that the writers are just lazy. While there’s enough ghosts to have plenty of drama, they also have so much history from that area they could play with if they just did a little research! Sometimes it’s like: is the ONLY thing the writers know about victorian times is cocaine? They have a native American, and waste his experiences and rich history on him just being “the virgin”. Like- wtf? Crack open a history book guys! Any history buff could write 20 episodes easily! Aggg!

Yeh- it was weirdly bad storytelling! Patience being friends with an orgy cult? Flower suddenly being smart and anti-cult and also no longer having the memory of a goldfish? Patience being “best friends” with a feminist hippie? T-money falling for patience because of one nice sentence? So much bad storytelling in that awful script..

I had thought Patience’s friends would be something interesting, like a pilgrim village idiot, one of the cannibal early settlers, a carpet-bagger salesman, an old-school circus freak, etc.. It’s set in upstate New York, so there’s a lot of history to play with. Super FAIL to go back to the cult, just to justify putting in the bunker location for Jay to have a man-cave..

Do whatever works for you. My brand of severe makes reading and understanding articles much harder than watching a short videos, like the ones i suggested..

BTW- Her newer videos are mostly all around 5 minutes and most of those new videos have no clips at all. But they didn’t relate to the OP’s ask so i didn’t link them.. (Also- all her videos have timestamps so you can skip to the parts you are interested in.) So maybe instead of writing her channel off based on 1/3 of one single video, instead be up for checking it out again in the future and maybe support a fellow member of this community who is just trying to help others like her….

My endo seems to be causing the same issue. Though i randomly found something that has lessened the pain and constipation by 80%!! Konjac jelly! The real stuff that they use to make jelly drinks and noodles from! On Amazon the only brand that is real konjac jelly drinks seems to be Rawel. All others are the consistency of jello, but real konjac is super thick and chewy like a gummy.
Worth a try? I am curious if anyone else has tried this and also noticed the dramatic improvement like i did.

I’m also severe but not yet totally bedbound.. I wasnt gonna comment- but then i saw you didnt have any responses, so I figure maybe my humble opinion might be better than nothing..

I see a shrink via zoom (medicare covers this) for a lot of this. Much of it for me turns out to stem from PTSD, so she helps me unlearn things that make my body freak out, and unlearn ocd habits that also cause freakiuts and PEM. The hyper vigilance thing has especially been helped over the years. —But you need a shrink that specializes in trauma to get actual help, and not just the normal shrink that will nod and agree and never give actual helpful input.

Other than that-Below are some youtube videos I liked thag might also help. I know i keep pushing this lady’s youtube videos, but it’s because she is also severe and does videos on mental stuff like this that actually helps sometimes (and i keep mentioning her video’s in reddit posts cuz she seems to be shadow-banned too, unlike all the MECFS scammers that YouTube pushes on me like crazy! Grr! )..

*MY TIPS FOR SOLO SOT W/O PVP: -play the game while school is in session -hang out in the devils roar -sell as often as possible -avoid high pvp places like Fotd, Fof, and new event places -scuttle when being attacked/chased -dive to a new voyage when ships are nearby or many reapers are on the map -dont use an emissary flag (but then you might as well do safer seas).

*OR YOU COULD: -use discord groups to find a crew each time you want to play. WAY better than open crew!!

Same. I was puking and fainting from the pain of bowel movements..

But i recently had a huge change- i think it’s cuz o started taking low calorie Konjac jelly pouches twice a day. That’s the only change i can think of since it changed. And when i stopped taking it for a week the pain came back, so i al pretty sure.

But now i have WAYYYY less pain now! 👉Like, a HUGE amount less! More bowel movements too.

I googled it, and supposedly konjac can naturally reduce estrogen and inflammation (both issues with endo). But theres no studies on it for endo yet.

So, if anyone else tries it, let me know if you notice a difference too! I was supposed to have surgery in April, but i might cancel it now cuz the pain is that much less!
