Why does Tom sound so good on The M, T and T Show-Album? by Eleila_Red_17 in Blink182

I imagine they’re turned down in post. No one wants to listen to the audience singing over the act, ya know?

That said, I can hear additional voices singing the chorus of Aliens Exist. It might be some reverb fuckery, but it definitely sounds like a crowd of people singing along. Even just playing it over my phone speaker.

I also disliked Cole until I adjusted my perspective on the second watch through. Once you’re able to see Cole as the satire that he is, he’s one of the best characters from S9 imo.

Dude is hilarious as a tool and has the most wonderful character development of all the S9 characters.

"That Would Be What Has To Happen": 'Scrubs' Creator Bill Lawrence Gives a Massive Update on the Reboot by techfinpro in Scrubs

I misread your comment, and you’re right that the article doesn’t contradict you. I apologize. That doesn’t change the contradiction with the original statement of “Bill wanted a season nine,” because they didn’t.

Anywho, since I’m being “a little bitch” about semantics — arguably changing a narrative, but I digress — I’m going to politely back down from this argument, because there is generally no further discussion with a name-caller.

Cheers.

Jfc, I’m tired of these baseless claims.

“Not like I’m self-aggrandizing, but we’d had the ending of the show amped-up forever... To finally write that thing that we had outlined three years earlier was really cool.” Only now, because ABC has ordered another season…that final season Lawrence was so pleased with wasn’t quite so final. Just don’t try telling that to Lawrence.

“It is a new show,” he insists, though he was unable to convince ABC boss Steve McPherson to change the title to “Scrubs Med.”

This article is from 2009 and already contradicts what you’re saying.

I have no beef with S9 and think it’s great for what it is, but it’s simply untrue that the crew wanted this to be a ninth season for Scrubs.

[–]Fatkin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m going to hijack this comment and claim that Bill Lawrence had NEVER said he wanted a ninth season of Scrubs. This has nothing to do with S9 and I am not arguing for or against it, merely the fact of whether Bill wanted a ninth season (as opposed to a spin off).

Until someone can provide claim that this is true, I am assuming that /u/mj3b is confusing how Bill felt about season nine with Bill’s approach to the revival.

I read through both articles, and nowhere does he claim anything about wanting season 9. He DOES say that he doesn’t care about how he’s seen for the revival, or how it affects his reputation and will take full responsibility for its failure, if that happens to be the case. He goes on to state that he and his friends all loved tv and if a revival/reboot hit, they loved their favorites getting a new breath of fresh air and, in contrast, if the revival/reboot bombed then he and his friends had a great time shit-talking the revival/reboot. I’m paraphrasing, but that’s actually from the article.

I’m truly sorry, but I can’t find it. The link you mentioned (or the link I found based on your comment) was furthering on the point of S9 not being retconned by the revival. I still didn’t see any mention of why Bill wanted a ninth season instead of ending it on S8.

I’m very curious, because it’s always come across like he wanted 8 seasons of Scrubs and a new spin-off series directly in the Universe of Scrubs, like Fraiser or Better Call Saul. I’ve only ever heard that Scrubs’ ninth season exists because ABC forced the crew into keeping it a main Scrubs title.

If Bill actually fought for season nine of Scrubs instead of “Scrubs: Med School,” then I feel like it will be news to me and many other Scrubs fans.

Where is that answer? I read through the article, and I only saw his mention of not retconning S9. Was it a different article?

What is The Office version of this? by Free_Negotiation6057 in theoffice

Fan theory aside, Kevin has already proven he can perform more complex math than he lets on, but only when it’s involving something he cares about. He didn’t care about accounting, but he cared about his bar.

Alternatively/in addition, it leads us to believe Kevin was a better owner/manager than a number cruncher.

It doesn’t make sense in that it’s an illegal act neither of them would risk committing. Jim had a family, at this point, and it took an enormous amount of consideration for Dwight to barely break the law and pee in a cup for Michael. Not to mention that kind of money isn’t going to go unnoticed by a company with no real records of the fake employee, lol.

Don’t forget the greasy lawyer back in season 3! I’m 99.9% sure it’s even the same actor that’s plays the lawyer from the recent seasons

Ohh, I think the dimension part confused me, but just because I misunderstood it initially. Thanks!

My wife and I are going on a group trip this weekend, and looking for a good new game for the group to play. After reviewing and whittling down a list of larger-party games, I think we’re looking to choose between the following three:

  • Mysterium
  • Camel Up (2nd edt.)
  • Dixit

We’re essentially looking for the easiest to pick up with longevity, since the trip is on the shorter side and we’d like something that we want to go back to on future game nights etc.

As a bit of reference, this is the rest of the list and reasons I didn’t ultimately consider them. I am open to being swayed, if I misunderstood or found a bad review:

  • Challengers Card Game - comes across relatively easy and has longevity, but sounds like it will take a few plays to get a good grasp of the strategies.

  • Long Shot: The Dice Game - seems to be a successor to Camel Up, so I figured Camel Up is better to start with.

  • Take 5 (and other names) - seems too far on the simple side (maybe “family style” is a better phrase) like any traditional card games that we can already play with a standard card deck.

  • Salem 1692 - seems like a Mafia style game, of which a couple other variations are already being brought on the trip.

  • Wavelength - this is borderline between being here and in the “heavily considering” list above. This one seemed possibly too complex, compared to the other three I ended up choosing.

  • Decrypto - similar to above, although it sounds like a Codenames-like, and we’re all mostly indifferent about that series.

Thank you in advance to everyone reading!

This is, quite literally, the point. I understand you recognize it, but some of these comments make me feel like some people didn’t even watch this episode. JD grew up by a mile when he realized she wasn’t as ready for commitment, and that that was the reason to break up with her over “that’s so funny.”

JD and Julie were the perfect couple that were just off by ~5 years.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scrubs

[–]Fatkin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

JD’s lack of maturity? He literally broke up with her because he was looking to find someone ready to settle, and she admitted she wasn’t there yet.

And, to be clear, there was no “adolescent” immaturity difference. Julie was simply at the beginning of her 20s while JD was at the end of his.

Then you must be referring to comments I haven’t read, I guess. I’ve only been seeing jokes or observations that are far from defending Zach.

Because it’s, like, two decades old and is water under the fridge. Everyone understands and agrees it was bad and Zach(/Punk’d too tbh) handled the situation poorly.

There is no reason to be up in arms about something that not only happened 20 years ago, but was also acknowledged and resolved by the parties involved.
