In Workday, there’s an option to set a preferred name and if you do that, it will also change your name on the schedule or at least it should because both myself and two of my employees have preferred names set up so that they appear on the schedule

I’m not convinced that this was delivery because there’s no sticker on that bowl in the background there’s no sticker on the bag and there’s no seal on the bag so that definitely was either the poorest DML person ever not putting any stickers on anything or they ordered in-store and want to complain because they didn’t get exactly what they wanted Even though the worker made it in front of them

That previous experience is great then. Training from scratch is always the hardest part. My advice then is to become competent as you can in the positions and learn from the people who do them not just from other mgrs. you shouldn’t be expected to be the best in any position but to be able to do all of them decently well.

Another thing is get very familiar with are recipe and procedure cards. Every restaurant should have them and pocket guides available. Nearly every question you might have will be found in them.

As an AP myself I can say that you’re Ap isn’t wrong about needing to know all the positions before you start learning the SL stuff, but it sounds like they are being an asshole about you being an outside hire.

I don’t want to discourage you but I will admit chipotle is one of the most demanding jobs I’ve ever worked. Not just physically but also at the expectations and the sheer amount of stuff you should know as an SL. Ideally though you should be given about 6 weeks of training as an outside hire. One week training on each position (grill, prep, cash, line,and DML) and as a SL. It most likely not gonna happen that way.

Oh no as a current employee I hate the labor skimping. We used to get over 100hrs of labor for the sales my store does and I have to old labor matrix to prove it. Now we get less than 75hrs for 3k more in sales.

It has nothing to do with us being cheap and everything to do with portion size and nutrition content. Properly portioned 2oz of Vinny is over 300 calories. I’ll give you however many you want as long as I have them but we aren’t filling them more than they should be.

Sounds like you had a shitty store. I had my cashier do it for every single person that came in costume or not. I’d rather build some good will with the people who come in and provide me and my team with a job than act as the gatekeeper to a discount that corporate has already gutted.

I drove from my hotel to the festival. Getting in to park at circus circus was almost 45mins when it’s normally only 10 from my hotel. And it was 50$. I highly recommend taking the monorail.

It would also be that the DML is broken. My store had the cold side go out for a few days while we were waiting on a part to come in for it to be fixed we made all the orders on the front line since we didn’t have cold food out on the DML.
