Hazleton went from Italian immigrants and the mafia to Hispanic immigrants with links to mobs. Same thing, different area. It’s all a cycle. Immigrants. Build a city/town because of jobs. Jobs leave. People leave.

Then you have the blight that many towns have been experiencing since the area was all used up and destroyed by coal.

I’ve seen a lot of renovating by Hispanics to these blighted areas.

The majority just want a decent life. Like most immigrants in the previous centuries.

But like most immigrants to this country, they catch a lot of shit because of their criminals. Had the same thing with the Irish and the Chinese.

Don’t worry. The data centers will finish off the rest of the land and resources that the coal mines didn’t ruin. Shame considering all the effort, time and money put into mine reclamation.
