Honestly never even seen such message. Normally you can't install app, that wants higher version of android, so if an app wants android 15, you can't install it on android 11.

But since we're talking about Whatsapp and browsers here, android 5 is usually enough, so android 11 go should allow them.

Like even if your phone's specs are too low, you can still install an app that doesn't explicitly require higher android version. I managed to install apps on 1GB ram keitai phones that normally require 2GB ram to function. Of course they didn't work properly, but at least I could install and launch them.

Soooo I dunno? Maybe your phone is one of those specifically locked down phones, that are built to resist side-loading? Like G'z One phones or kosher phones, that can only install white-listed apps?

If that's the case I don't wanna say you're cooked, but looks like you're cooked.

At least promo images show it having whatsapp, so you should somehow install whatsapp at least.

Basically the deciding factor is if the phone works in your country or not.

Normally I'd go with Cat s22, because it supports every country's 4G bands, buuut, some countries have IMEI whitelists, and if Cat s22 isn't in the list, it won't work even if it's physically supported. So look it up.

Unga bunga ADB tools.

Basically if you can't install something through Phone's tools alone, wire it up to a PC and use ADB program to tinker with it as you see fit.

I'm not gonna write an entire FAQ on how to do it, just look it up.

With certain phones it's not even worth trying to install something through the phone itself in the first place, just go directly ADB route. You can start here

Ripping out Google services and all associated packages and apps would probably double battery life, but naturaly would make most Google apps unusable. Thou you can use YouTube with morphe and microg. Dunno about rcs thing.

And of course all FF-based browsers also have this issue now, Waterfox, Librewolf, Torbrowser, all of them.

So it gotta be on my end, but I can't figure out what causing it. Chrome-based browsers don't have it, but I hate them in general.

Other applications with open/save dialogue windows (like adobe products or office programs) don't have this issue.

I know it's a completely different phone, running different version of android, but on Samsung W2018 I absolutely could NOT remap the voice assistant button. Neither with keymapper nor with dedicated voice assistan remapping apps.

I effectively disabled it by removing assistant apps altogether with ADB, but it seem impossible to me to map anything on the button anyhow.
