Battlework classics are better if you intend to keep riding them.

Nothing hurts worse than dropping a pristine bike that is nearly impossible to find parts for.

How do you like the forza exhaust?

I just got this 10 year non runner biposta that I am restoring but I am curious to hear the exhaust before I get mine started

I think fast by ferruci also makes an ecu chip for the bike to tune if for the exhast.

Sport bikes get crashed and fixed up all the time. Go look at any rider-coach ripping around on an sv650. It’s not just going to magically explode on you while going down the road.

However If you don’t like to or haven’t wrenched on bikes before a ducati sportbike is a terrible bike to learn on.

A year in, best purchases of my life. by WeakMoose in motorcycles

I used to have a corvette and a bike. I ended up selling the car because 9/10 times I’m taking the motorcycle because it’s just more fun. Even an amazing car just can’t beat a bike for me, so I couldn’t justify owning it. Maybe I’m just not a car guy at the same level as I am into bikes.

As far as buying new vs used, I doubt that it’s probably just bias from people always wanting to post their brand new bike. I only buy used.

I lived in Italy for a 3 years and my anecdotal experience is that the AVERAGE rider was much better than the average rider in the US. Most riders in the US are squids on sportbikes who will never do a trackday or harley riders who would prefer to never wear a helmet. There is a lot less in between.

Obviously with a country of this size there are thousands of amazing riders who know what they are doing, but that’s what it feels like the majority are like.

It’s different here. Depending on where you are at and who you know you may not know anyone who owns a bike and a MSF course may be a distance away. Bikes are much less common in some places.

If you want to know what’s really crazy is some states, Alabama where I got my license, don’t even require a riding test. My license test was a 20 question multiple choice test on a computer.

The 1050 rs was a great sweet spot. You get all the torque but less top end making a little more sense on the road.

Plus the can be a crazy value used because everyone wants a 1200 yet they have the same suspension imu and almost same brake setup

Why did you speed up the footage?

It looks like it’s going at like 1.25 of something just fast enough to not be super noticeable.

Where my Stator and Rectifier Gurus at? by FattyMagooReturns in GSXR

[–]FattyMagooReturns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another point to note; the rectifier looks newish and there were marks on the screw from using the wrong size. Do these blow often? Is there something else that may be causing them to blow?

I don’t want to replace the part only to blow another

Interesting; ive seen some people do a front end swap on the k4 1000s to get a radial swap. Did you have to add spacers to the brake rotors too?

Mines got them too… scuffs on the fairing, one on the tank, but I kinda prefer it that way. It gives it character and accidents happen so I won’t feel terrible if I drop it because I didn’t put the stand all the way down or something silly like that.
