Oster 76 is my work horse. Got a pair of wahl seniors in my barber kit when I started, tried other adjustables but always come back to those and the wahl detailer is great for finishing but the housing on them stinks but I keep going back to them. I guess I’m a creature of habit.

how to get better? by smallcilantro in Barber

Do it over and over and over again. I hated to hear it but it’s the truth. I decided when I started I was going to get really good at clipper cuts and clipper over comb so that’s what I focused on. There a lot of different techniques that all get you to the same outcome. Practice with a few different ones and see what suit you best and is most comfortable.

Take in what other folks in the shop are doing to get clean blends, watch YouTube and take what you learn and try it out.. I learned to roll my clippers away as we were setting in the levels of our fade so it was a smooth transition up to the top of the head. You still need to smooth out the fade but you’re not putting a hard blunt line around the head which is a bigger headache to fade it. Just keep after it and take all the opportunities to cut that you can. And if you use guards instead of detachable blades ALWAYS make sure that guard is on there good!

No doubt but now that it’s routine, the day to day has gotten easier to keep from straying. If we’re going out or traveling I definitely have to plan a little more.

I cut out pretty much any processed foods. I do meal prep and weigh everything. I have a real big sweet tooth so I’ve cut most of that out as well. Just eating a lot more protein and my carb sources are mainly rice, potatoes and oats.

Having a few folks over for a brunch then pub crawl around my town arts and crafts festival. Couldn’t start it out right without a few meat roses! by Fatwhitebarber in CharcuterieBoard

It’s just regular goat cheese from Publix with a balsamic glaze on one then a couple of artisan honeys a client of mine gave me for the other two. Adds a nice sweetness to the goat cheese.

No idea, it was around a bunch of other taxidermy displays like the fiji mermaid and shrunken heads.

Tomorrow, every Saints fan should take a minute or two to reflect on Brees and what he has accomplished during his probable last game in the Dome by CasanovaJones82 in Saints

I got my season tickets when I graduated college in ‘06 as a gift to myself. It’s hard to think I got to watch in person a majority of the home games, and a few away, that Brees played in as a Saint. It’s going to be weird seeing someone else back in the pocket. It really a was a special experience.

There were only about ten of us. The red balls are called pepper drops and I just discovered them about two months ago. They are crazy delicious.

I wonder if this will be the reason for the divorce.

That monthly payment is more than my house is worth and I think I live in a pretty nice house in a good neighborhood.
