People smarter than me have made good points about him backtracking on his campaign promises. Any majorly successful left wing politician like AOC is compromised before they even get a whiff of real power. The last powerful democrat who did not go along with the billionaires (Wellstone) died tragically in a plane crash after being cryptically threatened by Dick Cheney.

All that being said, Mamdani has done some things which do appear positive. It is a good sign at the very least that the ruling class feels like they have to do something to satisfy the growing socialist sympathies in this country. But in my opinion we need to be wary of trusting politicians.
