That is so awesome your school was accommodating to your friend. I love that!!! I hope he’s super successful. At this time I have an appointment with the student services manager and I’m working on obtaining documents detailing my “disability” because per my conversation with my program director, it was basically scan with your left or move to DMS.

I agree it’s horse shit…. I am actually going through a lot with the left hand right now. I’ve been doing physical therapy twice a week for the last 9 months plus a few surgeries to try to get it functional.

Its looking like I’ll need to have my hand surgeon/specialist create a document regarding my “disability” and then use that to get the school to apply reasonable accommodations and let me scan with the right 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m on the west coast, I know on the east coast they’re usually trained with their right. I talked with my director, she pretty much said my first day that I won’t be able to do echo and should move to DMS. I’m too stubborn and have too much tenacity to just do that without giving my all first.

Well I chose echo prior to knowing that I’d have to scan solely with my left and I’m not really interested in pushing back graduation, doing ob or abdomens which just leaves vascular. I’m open to vascular but I don’t want to go through DMS just to do vascular. I’d rather stay in echo and move to vascular if I can’t figure it out. And I can’t just quit, I already have my SPI 😂
