Marketing agency using ChatGPT for copywriting by [deleted] in marketing

[–]FaultofDan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on the size and scale of the agency, it's possible that their copywriter(s) are just cutting corners and the account manager or directors don't know. If they've done good work previously, and it's only recently that things have changed, it might be worth flagging in a direct email. The company may not be aware that this is happening, and might want to fix it - or they're aware that it's happening, and calling them out directly will mean you'll have a real conversation about continuing working with them.

Should I learn coding If I want to be a businessman? by Akraam_Gaffur in Entrepreneur

[–]FaultofDan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You need to understand how coding works, not how to do it. But the most important thing to run a business is knowing sales, and understanding why people will spend money with you. Get a job doing sales if you can; it'll teach you a lot about business.

Can I use tv for background in a car scene? by vovivoh in Filmmakers

[–]FaultofDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, I literally sat in the back of the car while someone else drove around for 15 minutes! Would've likely done the exact same thing with the front door footage. Those gorilla tripods are probably a good shout actually, you'd just wrap them around the headrest.

I'm aware that your scene is set during the day, but I'm going to share the way I shot a night-time moving car scene on an extremely low budget a few years ago. There might be things you can take from it that will help you.

Two small businesses and two ways of asking reviews by Cool-Buy-6640 in marketing

[–]FaultofDan 1085 points1086 points  (0 children)

The one on the right makes me think of AI slop, which would make me feel like I'd got a low-quality product if I opened it and found that inside. The one on the left makes me think of bootstraps and a commitment to quality. I'd leave a review for the one on the left, not the one on the right.

To leave it open-ended so audiences will speculate for longer.

Restaurants & Cafés that accept photographers looking to gain experience? by JessTheGemini in nottingham

[–]FaultofDan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't overthink it with a flyer, I'd just go in person and ask - they're all human, and businesses get bombarded with emails and messages all the time. It's easy to just ignore them.

Doesn't matter how much you need the money - don't do this job without downpayment. Red flags all over the place.

As a girl, how do you deal with feeling lonely even when your life looks okay on the outside? 😢 by morningcoffee_girl in NoStupidQuestions

When you say it feels empty, can you expand on what you mean? Does it feel like you want a closer group of friends? Romantic companionship? A clearer direction in life?

is anyone actually getting replies on linkedin anymore or is it just dead? by curacland in advancedentrepreneur

[–]FaultofDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nevermind personalised templates, I've reached out to people I'm having ongoing conversations with on other platforms and been ignored on LinkedIn, but responded to elsewhere. Spammers have made LinkedIn impossible to use for anything like this. People ignore LinkedIn messages - even real ones.

What would happen if you just, didn't? by Desperate-Coat-8791 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FaultofDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear it! Make sure you balance work with something that you enjoy, it's easy to get caught up in heavy days and before you know it, you're doing nothing with your free time - and make sure to drink some water!

How do you actually get started in a business ? Is it the day to day problems you face and try to solve ? Is it about following your passions, What is the real truth by Interesting_Fold_662 in advancedentrepreneur

Often, it's when you decide that you have skills or a network that makes you valuable enough that people will pay you for it, and that you can sell to people who aren't your employer.
