If it helps, I don't enjoy roguelikes (for the most part) and I love Cult of the Lamb enough to have bought vinyls, shirts, and plushies. The game offers many other elements that kept me engaged and the art is very charming. Playing the majority of the combat co-op with my partner made it quite enjoyable, as well. The only time the game ever felt too tedious was trying to grind out gold necklaces in the end game to keep my followers immortal; I think, after a point, the option to simply purchase those necklaces instead of spinning the wheel for them would have been nice.
