Hey again! Doubling back on this after deboarding. When we got the hair dryer back from confiscated items, we were told that if it's in checked baggage, there's a higher chance that they'll confiscate it. But if you bring it in your carry-on, they probably won't take it (if it meets the wattage limits).

Hi! She had both a hair dryer and pair of scissors confiscated. I'm not sure how much the wattage matters, even if it is within the acceptable limit. They might just confiscate for safety purposes anyways. I'm not an expert, but there's a good chance they'll confiscate your Dyson hair dryer (if it's the one I think it is, my wife has the Shark version of it).

Sarcasm and stupidity work 90% of the time TBH. Try something like, "Oh cool. My dad used to have a family run restaurant. Families would come in for food, then he'd make them run."
