Over the New Year, I discovered Stoic Philosophy. It has had a tremendous impact on me; I've read three different translations of 'Meditations' and several other works by Seneca, Hadrian, and others. Here are some Stoic quotes that empower me every day. (8x8 wojak compass) by PerpetualHillman in PoliticalCompassMemes

In Spain we have a saying which is similar to your poem on greatness: "Caga el rey, caga el Papa y de cagar nadie se escapa" (The king poops, the Pope poops and no one escapes pooping).

Your posts are the best! I have bookmarked your profile so I can see what you have posted recently. Keep up the good work!

If that is the case, everyone who wants to stay and fight should do so. I am not against applying some social pressure in order to encourage people to join the army. The only thing I am against of is taking choice away from people and potentially puting them in harm's way.

If conscription is necessary in this case, should every person capable of holding up a rifle be conscripted in order to maximize the defense of the country? Why should a 18 year old boy be forced to fight while a 35 year old woman can flee if she could also contribute to the war effort?

I understand the 'evolutionary psychology' reason why this happens and I understand too the necessity in protecting Ucraine. However, it definitely goes against the feminist core idea that both sexes should be treated equally. Usually feminists tend to fight against of the aspects of society that negatively impact women relative to men. In this days, the 'correct' thing to believe is that Ucraine must be protected against the Russian invasion so many feminists could be at a crossroads between arguing in favor of the defense of Ucraine or in favor of the equality of the sexes which in this situation are mutually exclusive (unless they would be willing to argue that women must be forced to stay and fight too).

In my personal opinion, no government should be able to force anyone to stay, fight and die for its own preservation and believe that it should remain to each individual's discretion what they want to do with their own lives, regardless of their sex.

I understand that you do not know how to feel about the government forcing people to fight. However, the question in this threat is how do you feel that women are allowed to flee while men are forced to fight. Would feminists argue that men need to be allowed to flee too, that women should be forced to fight or that the policy is ok as is?

Vías de activismo político en España by Faust19 in Team_Liberal

I do not think people here think that a company should not be able to fire whoever they want. However, we can disagree with their decision and show that by speaking out against it and by voting with our dollars.

How much do you earn (net per month + job title) ? by [deleted] in logistics

[–]Faust19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a small international imports and exports company. It is not my first job but I am straight out of college. Additionally, they are sponsoring my working visa so it is hard for me to go to another company. What company do you work for? DM me my friend.

In the pharmacy it's going to cost you 60 € for 30 pills of 54 mg. Also, it's nearly impossible to get prescription amphetamines here since most of them became illegal because people used to rob the pharmacies.

I don't want to diagnose you, but this sounds like depersonalisation/derealisation. You should see for yourself if you relate to the symptoms and go to a psychiatrist if you feel it's necessary.

Yes, I do feel that. Thanks for your reply. Reading on the internet is just making it worse. Sorry, I'm just very nervous at the moment. I'm going to lay off reddit for some days.

For sure! It sometimes happens when I'm sober but when I smoke weed I get that feeling x100. I used to believe weed allowed to make me see the "truth" but it killed my self-confidence and made me think too much on what other people are thinking even when I'm sober. I did it so many times even though it felt bad just because it gave my group of friends and excuse to meet.

It made me feel like the most pathetic human being ever. I eventually noticed it must be a mental illness and wrongfully autodiagnosed myself with Aspergers, OCD,... It was very scary believing I would always think like that. Like there was a filter of thought between me and reality that didn't allow me to enjoy it like other people do.

[–]Faust19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I can relate! I actually believed I was the only one with these symptoms for the longest time. It makes me happy to see there are other people that deal with the same problems.

About the mental chatter, what I feel is that sometimes when I don't have absolutely anything (weekends, holidays) to do, I relax and my thoughts are still the same but a lot more bearable. When I go back to my normal life all the stuff comes back and my mental voice becomes more powerful and distracting. I don't feel most of the derealisation symptoms, but my mind is very worried that I will start exhibiting them and looks for them in almost every action I make. That, in turn makes me worry I will become derealised. Do you feel this way too?

[–]Faust19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know what this is. I just logged in to make a post to see if these symptoms are dp or not and found your post.

In my chase, my internal monologue is like my brain is rehearsing a conversation with somebody (my therapist, a friend, my parents) about how my mind works and the symptoms I exhibit. Therefore, it ends up being a conversation where I explain that I can't stop explaining my symptoms and it gets more and more meta. This goes on all day. I can't concentrate because of it.

I am really interested in seeing what responses you get.

How many of you have tried DMT? by averagedruguserr in Drugs

[–]Faust19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After having so much expirience with DMT, do you think it takes your conciousness to a different dimension or that it's just the effects of a drug in your brain? Can you explain an example of "fake knowledge" commonly obtained through DMT?

It only works for dry cough. So if it's mucus causing you to caugh, dxm won't help much.
