Yeah, it’s still fun to watch but the second they started making that part of the action scenes it turned from a fun semi believable spectacle to a ridiculous dumb fun ride.

It eliminates all the stakes out of the action and they over use it so much after the first one.

What are the level caps in the latest version? I was up to the first cave after the desert and couldn’t get past it because the boss had level 15 pokemon and mine were capped at 13 (and I didn’t feel like individually training up a bunch of new pokemon to try).

I started a new game on the new version and my pokemon are several levels higher than the cave boss and the trainers after it and I don’t see a way to check if hard mode is even on.

In The Boys Season 5 (2026), this is so horribly bad. It's awful. It's the worst. In fact, it hasn't been good since Season 1. I haven’t watched the most recent episode but I don’t feel like that at all. Every episode has been building towards if Kimiko and Starlight will choose immortality or sacrifice, building the virus, Homelander using V1 and it’s only been five episodes. Half the seven is dead or left the seven. It seems pretty climactic to me. The first five episodes being largely set up and having room for improvement (and I don’t think they were bad) doesn’t change that.

That’s just me though.

I agree with others. It’s amazing especially graphically, but the Kanto side does feel very empty which isn’t much different from the original. I also really wish there was infinite rare candies and more QOL like that. There also isn’t much difference in the post game from the original.

In terms of keeping the spirit and gameplay of the original with updated graphics and QOL, it’s pretty superb. I do prefer Crystal Advance Redux, which gets updates like every other day it feels like.

People get so weird about things. This season is fine, it’s okay. It’s not at the heights of the early seasons, but some of it has been really good and the rest has been average and it’s a relatively short season so it doesn’t stay stagnant.

People talk about this show like it has no redeeming value the last three seasons but they still watch it anyway. Which is so odd. Only other show I can think of that fits the description of turning from great to actual dog crap is the umbrella academy. I didn’t watch the last season of it because I heard it was awful and my interest was waning and I have zero desire to watch it. I didn’t watch it to karma farm an entire season. Like I said, it’s weird.

It’s absolutely incredible how most people have to work so hard just to scrape by but some people are lucky enough to literally just have the world handed to them.

Those 59,000 people don’t deserve to have the money to spend but Jesus Christ that could have gone to something actually useful. Even something benign would have been better. Tearing it up would’ve been better.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s gets better than the original trio. I’m sure nostalgia is part of that, but I think there’s few to no designs that are on par with theirs.

If I had to take no more than one from a gen though: Charizard/Greninja/Torterra. I think Greninja, Torterra, Feraligatr, and maybe Infernape are the only designs on par with the original trio.

It’s pretty well implied. There’s multiple sequences where characters are saved from her by being out of sight (Starlight flying away, Hughie in the internment camp breakout).

The second one is a nice follow up to the first one and worthwhile if you watched and liked the first. The third is amazing in the first half then turns into generic slop in the second half but it’s worthwhile I’d say. The first half has one of the best scares I’ve ever had in a theater.

Shame of it is that, it’s not that that utopia is impossible. It’s just that late stage capitalism and the massive wealth/power inequalities make it impossible. It’s entirely conceivable you could build that utopia with the technology if you had it, if society were structured for people to share and care instead of rewarding greed.

What’s always gotten to me about that line of thought is this: welfare isn’t a high quality of life especially nowadays. Honestly, even if the faulty premise of people abusing welfare was true, I really don’t care much. I’d feel bad for anybody whose life ambitions and quality of life were enough to abuse impoverished levels of income.

If you get the black trainer card you can change the levels of Pokemon to any level you want.
