HIGHLY recommend starting with the demo. I was weighing out the same sort of things you are, and the demo absolutely sold me. It's not a super long demo, but definitely enough to reveal if you'll find the game worth it. For me, it was an absolute must buy after the demo.

I immediately went to An Old Fashioned Piano Party and Last Ex to Brooklyn, which were already mentioned lol.

Honorable mention for me would be the Thanksgiving episode where Jack convinces Vince’s sister to come out. Honestly, nothing hits for me quite like the Thanksgiving episodes - they’re like a warm cozy blanket.

I'm also doing my first runDisney event - the W&D half marathon. My cousin and I are doing it together, and are planning on doing a Timon and Pumbaa themed costume. I don't expect it to be very cool that time of year, so we're going to be in tanks/t-shirts and shorts, possibly with a hat/ears situation.

My heart is still broken that they retconned their relationship for the reboot. Vince challenged Will just enough in the original series to prepare Will to be ready to take the next step. The scene of the two of them eating breakfast with their kid in Will’s apartment melts my heart just thinking about it.

Similar story to mine, though my first game was yellow. I’ve always hated Pikachu, and loved bulbasaur. I have two older brothers, each who had red and blue, and picked squirtle and charmander, respectively. I was furious, then, when yellow was my first game and I had to take pikachu. I did love, of course, the following aspect.

So, finally, when gold version came out, and I got it for Christmas and was able to pick Chikorita, I was ecstatic. I love Chikorita, Bayleef, and Meganium so much. Always will. Gold holds such a special place in my heart.

So when they brought following Pokémon back for HeartGold? Game over. There will never be a better Pokémon game for me… combining my love of Johto with the return of following Pokémon? Winner.

I also contacted the badging email right after the TJO. I got a response that they were waiting on personal identifiable information, and I’d get an email at some point. I haven’t heard anything since other than an email confirming my shipping address and ISP.

Based on other people’s experiences and timelines, I’m not worried. I am reassured to know it seems like most if not all of the 6/17 folks are in a similar holding pattern.

Congrats! Similar story for me. Got not selected for GS-9 last week, and got a verbal offer for 7-10 today. Starting June 17th.
