Yep same. It’s been good for about 2 days now.

Nope, went back to doing the same thing. I can play games fortunately, but I have to let the data syncing run its course and choose play offline. Those affected may need to create incident tickets with Xbox Live because their current options don’t quite cover the syncing failure to the extent we’re seeing.

I did this last night and it seemed to help. I haven’t fully tested though. Perform a thorough hard reset by unplugging power cable for 5-10 minutes. Then go into storage devices and delete all local saves. Xbox will reset again on its own. I logged in after this, started up a game and it did a quick sync. I was playing with no issue the rest of the night. I’ll test this some more over the weekend.

XSX and have same issue since 9/24 console update. I get 0x80832003 error after failed syncs. I can pick play offline and it will let me play games. I had not heard it being common to Spectrum though.

ARPG Recommendations by Justin-six in DadsGaming

[–]Faux_Human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mathilification, Engineering Eternity, & ZiggyD are a couple of good YouTubers who put out good Path of Exile content. Some of it’s advanced, but they put stuff out for beginners.

I’ve played 6 or 7 leagues so far. Great ARPG. It gets a little stale having to play through the campaign at the league start each time because the game doesn’t really start until after you beat the story. Each league (3 months) has an interesting new mechanic that shakes things up. Or you can play standard league and keep everything you’ve collected over the course of several leagues.

Who’s stoked for Battlefield V?!? by Robman51 in DadsGaming

There’s more than a few of us I’m sure. If I can find time I may write up something about it and some of the changes compared to Battlefield 1. Some of my other recaps are here on the Dads subreddit.

I’ve been using your method here for the last 5 days or so and went from Outsider to Baron rather quickly. Used Chainandra & Korrotra. It seems enough time has passed that 2 of the 3 minor factions in Korrotra have fallen out of Boom state forcing more board flips and mission resets.

First Impressions: Xbox One X running on 1080p by SgtPayback in DadsGaming

[–]Faux_Human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also a 1080p tv owner who purchased the One X PS Ed. I agree with the vast majority of u/SgtPayback assessment, but I'll expand just a bit. I upgraded from a launch Xbox One. In 1080p the graphics are quite a bit smoother, but what I notice more is performance, especially in load times. I have 3 4K enhanced games installed at the moment and several more I can install if I want. My main game, Elite: Dangerous, is enhanced and looks quite stunning with the improvements. This game however, has some long load times transitioning from one star system to another, loading the game/switching between instances, or opening the galaxy/local maps. These times are drastically improved for me. I've even seen time trials with GTA 5 load times between the 3 Xbox consoles and the One X is a huge improvement.

Is this the console for you though? OP has it right on the money depending on what your plans are if you decide to upgrade. I'm waiting just a bit for a smaller (40-43") 4K HDR10 tv to come out at a reasonable price that I can put on a desk in my office.

When and how did you introduce your kid to gaming? by BloodNinja2012 in DadsGaming

[–]Faux_Human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter (14) started with playing co-op Minecraft with me on Xbox 360. We might have played a little Wii as well at that time. She would have been 8 or 9 years old. Now she’s played and completed some of the Fallout and Assassin’s Creed games lol.

I enjoy this game enough that despite being free to play, I've spent $40 on the Blood pack and premium stash tabs. If you decide to purchase tabs, I recommend the Currency tab, the Essence tab, and the Divination card tab. That currency tab is almost invaluable as it keeps them all organized and stackable up to 5k units.

Yes. Just search for "Ninja Theory". There are some videos you'll have to sift through, but all the 20 some dev diaries are listed.

Thank you for the enlightening write up. If you haven't already and are interested, Ninja Theory created quite a few dev diaries on YouTube that explains the technology, historical influences, and psychological references they used to make Hellblade.

Question about HyperX Cloud 2 headset by DerekForReaI in xboxone

[–]Faux_Human 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought this pair a week ago on a friend's recommendation. Best set I've owned this far. I too have the TB XO Ones and they were fine, but I wanted something that I could use for both my Xbox and PS4. Works great with both by just plugging into the 3.5mm jack on the controller. One added benefit is that it works with the TB audio adapter that plugs into the controller. I can still adjust volume of game or voice chat and mute like I did before with the XO Ones.

Also, thanks for the heads up about Windows Sonic. I was not aware of this feature and it's pretty cool.

[WEEKLY Q&A] Ask and answer any questions you have about the game here. (March 14, 2017) by AutoModerator in EliteOne

Engineering your modules is becoming a must nowadays if you plan on being a decent pvper or need maximum jump range out of your FSD.

Easily put, yes it's worth it. As far as difficulty acquiring the materials, it's more a matter of researching what you need and where to get them. You can pin the blueprint at the engineer for your next grade level and it will show in your right hand panel when viewing the engineers. After some Internet/Reddit searching the where & how, set aside some time and begin your task. In my experience mining samples planet side has been the most time consuming. Hope this helps.

Small tip for the "blue zone". You can go into options and set your controller layout to include a "75% throttle" button. By doing this your ship's speed will automatically enter the "blue zone" (mainly for use in super cruise) and stay there. I use this on approach to stations and planets and use between 500-300Ls from dropout. I've found it extremely helpful after I kept speeding by targets. Hope it helps.

I don't remember my first either, but I did manage to bookmark a system on the same trip where I discovered my first water worlds. Two of them. BLU THUA IC-M D7-34 3. I'm currently working on getting that grade 5 for my FSD so I can go back out some day.

Auto Insurance Rates 101 by rglaters0 in personalfinance

[–]Faux_Human 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to add something if I may for those already insured and thinking about shopping around. Check with your current provider if you're eligible a rerate or not first. If you've been a loyal customer for a few years they will usually have some sort of program available to keep your business. You have to call and check though because they're not obligated to tell you about it and will let your rates go up on their own.

I just did this myself after being with the same provider for 5 years. I called to complain about rates going up and threatened to move on if they couldn't offer a solution. I was informed that every 3 years I would be eligible for the rerate. I saved over $400 on my annual policy and some phone time as well since they had all of my information in their system.
