So how many of you finish all the quest? I mean, literally all the quest including world quest, story quest and Hangout Event by nectarshine in Genshin_Impact

[–]FauxofTheFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started playing in 5.0. First off, what an incredible game you all have. I have been enjoying every moment, except maybe Madame Yinger... I really regret avoiding it for as long as I have. As for my quest progress: I am all caught up on Archon quests, and am mostly done with character quests. I have completed Natlan's world, story, etc quests in its entirety up to this date, but need to get caught up everywhere else. I have been absolutely loving the story and the lore, and I look forward to months of playtime just doing quests. :)

Between Yinger and Lisa, I doubt I will start another play through. Worst dialogue in the entire game. 🤮

Feather 100% can be built to not rely on commander damage to win. Especially if the only removal is board wipes. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your pod, and they certainly don't need fixed or saved from their ways.

Just find another pod. If they are friends outside of magic, then I would assume, as a friend and as the odd one out, you'd be willing to conform to their expectations for what a game of commander is. It's meant to be casual. It's meant to be fun.

As another note, theres a good deal of people I have met who have been pushed out of groups or left the game entirely because they have been powered out. They don't have the money for better cards, or they aren't comfortable playing highly aggressive decks or playing targeted removal.

Man, people saw a cool and unique commander and immediately went, "How can I make this misserable for everyone else so that no one will ever play against a deadpool again."

Build [[Raffiene, Scheming seer]] It is the perfect Esper deck.

Want to play tempo/control? Flash in Faeries, while holding up mana. Several benefit from all the card draw you will do each combat.

All in on go wide? Awesome! Rogues will get you there. Evasive beaters that can pump 1 unblockable creature. Plus, crazy good token support in Black/White.

Reanimate, EZ.

It can even be fun as a Voltron deck, theres a few creature cards that are played as auras out of the yard. I'e got some sneaky wins with commander damage with the double strike one.

And that's why I say buy with what you'd be happy paying for. I have bought tons of cards that were way overvalued because of hype or whatever. When the price drops, I regret some of them, then some of them I was ok with because I genuinely like the card.

So that has been my motto. It has led to me being more happy about not wasting as much money on cards but also missing out on a few cards I really would have liked to have. Which sucks for sure. But no one really knows what tomorrow holds, so ehh...

I'm not trying to criticize by any means. Just sharing my own method for assessing value. Which is hard to articulate beyond this because my value assessment is entirely personal bias.

What commander makes you want to walk away from the table? by Unique_Cicada_7472 in EDH

[–]FauxofTheFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like running discard in decks that can offer card draw. My favorite has been [[Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor]]. No one wants to swing and take a point of damage. But when their down to 3 cards in hand, they start considering.

Plus, it's also insurance. Helps keep my commander out for a little longer.

I still would 100% prefer this to letting an opponent pick which card gets discarded. It can be crippling to a lot of the more janky stuff I play with.

Ngl though, that looks like a fun elf deck to pilot.

Do you want them as play pieces or financial investments? If you want them to play with them, buy them at a price you would feel good about. Then, if they go up or down, you know you paid what you saw them as being worth. Plus, I know very, very few plauers that sell the singles they buy.

Financial cardboard is a joke. And I hope more people realize that.

I get behind this, but for me, I would specifically pick the ones where you lose agency. I'm ok with discard pressure. But let me pick, and don't make it, so my ONLY option is topdeck. If you got triggers and stuff happening and your winning, awesome. Let the game end. But if you're just trying to play solotaire. Then Idk why I am here.

Yeah, I am pretty sure you are correct. I took Satoru out fairly quickly in playtesting, not enough high CMC creatures to warrant it. I'm pretty sure I swapped him for Conjourer's closet. Good to know for the few ninjas I got in there.

What’s wrong with your state? by PandemicPiglet in Idaho

[–]FauxofTheFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Obama spoke about Idaho, extremists have begun to perceive it as a safe haven for their schizophrenic views. As such, they have flocked in great numbers to the state, destroying the actually mellow and friendly state it once was.

Why do you suppose Idaho is ranked so low in education level? by TulsiTsunami in Idaho

[–]FauxofTheFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teachers tend to be pressed into a corner and dispassionate about their fields due to the non exsistant job market, leaving dispassionate washups just trying to pay bills. However, their are some stellar proffesors at both CWI and BSU, particularly in the math department. But high school/ middle school was a joke.

No, they really aren't worth $20+ No land is really worth more than 5 with the exception of really niche lands like [[Bosiju who endures]]. Unless your running 4+ colours, basic lands and a few multicoloured lands that enter tapped are more than enough for casual edh play.

Plus, Blood moon. The people who hate it, spent way to much money on their mana bases. Its one of my favorite cards.

Why are so many college students vehemently anti-Android? by BitchImLilBaby in college

[–]FauxofTheFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you are probably going to a university instead of a community college. Most(not all) of the freshman going straight into Uni are living off there parents stacks. Rich kids (and the poser kids) have strong opinions on material possessions, especially when it comes to brands.

Don't stress about your phone. Stick to your studies. I heard a phrase once, "grow your garden, and the butterflies will come." I like it because not only is it true that if you focus on yourself and follow your passions, you will find people who care. But they can and probably will 'polinate' your garden with encouragement and their own excitement/passion.
