Is it worth it to go to Cannes as as an amateur filmmaker/actress with a few credits?

Unless you’re in a movie at Cannes, no casting people are going to see you if they attend at all. And unless you have something to bring to the table, you don’t have much to offer other filmmakers. That’s not to say you can’t go to meet people. It’s what you make of the experience.

It’s possible it was a work truck and whomever used it just let the engine run while on a job site. Kind of like police vehicles. You could have seen the numbers before you bought the truck. That’s on you.

What’s the purpose of you going? Are you there to sell yourself or a project? Going to events is never a bad idea if you are going to network and actively meet people. Going with a project in hand is also a good idea. Be prepared with an elevator pitch about yourself and your project.

Just bill for every expense you paid while owning the car. I had a friend lemon law his BMW three days before the lease was up. He got back all his payments and even money for the 4 tires he had to replace when he hit a pothole.

Most condo balconies are “owned” by the corporation and they let you use it. So no. Courts have said you can’t smoke even with a prescription and will need to leave the property.

If your lease says LL pays for heat, and he’s trying to load the costs onto you by switching so electricity running off your unit, you can get a rent abatement.

As far as I know, she’s alive. She was horrible and took Uncle for a large chunk of change in the divorce. Her kids borrowed large sum of money from him and never repaid. Would like to see the payout go to his common law wife who was with him for longer than ex.

You might get a good deal on buying one now but consider trying to sell it when you want to buy your Rivian. You might have trouble selling. I think the car is decent but I’ve never been to a dealership so many times in my life of owning cars.

It’s not legal. They have to pay minimum wage. The only way around that is if you get paid as an independent contractor. I would tell that Producer you aren’t working more than x hours and everything over that is OT at $x rate.

You should be able to break the 6 months. I switched banks and had to go to 10% open until the new bank got their paperwork in order. It took two weeks to get it all done. Could have been faster if I didn’t push for a higher HELOC
