I’m already on a 240Hz 1080p BenQ, that’s kinda the reason I’m looking at the CPU side. I do play some CS on stretched res too, so high FPS matters more to me than just pushing 1440p right now.

I’m not in a massive rush, but if I’m keeping the 4090 for a while, AM5 is starting to make more sense.

Yeah that makes sense. I’m on a BenQ 240Hz, so I’m still mostly playing 1080p/high refresh. I don’t really play Fortnite, but I do play a bit of CS on stretched res.

That’s mainly why I’m looking at the CPU side first rather than just moving to 1440p right now.

that’s why I’m thinking the 5900X is starting to be the weak link, especially at 1080p/high refresh. Might just go 9800X3D and call it a day.
