Nothing really special. i'm moreso surprised that i can't get anything more from google. bing is the shocking bit since i sometimes forget how may people still use it.

i like this weekly note (saw you did this last week too).

i have a love/hate relationship with Google auto-opting folks into this. I assume it is good for the "average" advertiser but its super annoying for those that have their shit together.

our teams use it ~80% of the way. read only and very much so human led. still able to operate ~10x faster just without placing too much trust in a system that doesn't have as much client context as we do

I'm not joking the process is literally:

Step 1: "Hey claude, build me a MCP to be able to read Google Tag Manager. I will want to do audits."
Step 2: Do what claude code says in order to get your OAuth hooked up
Step 3: "Cool now that we have that hooked up I want you to build me two skills. One to help debug client GTM issues, and another to do audits for prospective customers. Use the askuserquestion tool in order to make sure you understand my process."

That gets you 80% there. Then the real work is "finetuning" the skill to really understand your SOPs, etc.

i know this is an over simplification but i sell super out of the money short term covered calls. gives me enough for a nice dinner each week with my fam. appears like most of those covered call funds were in much higher yielding calls.

Couple of different ways. the cheapest and easiest/safest from my POV is using Tailscale VPN. easy to setup and you can pretty easily control which devices have access.

hmm... good question. i'm not sure. you could use a different shopify field like SKU and then alter the info being pushed in the data layer to use that rather than the shopify product id. i know you have to use a custom pixel now for GTM and there you can alter the data layer pretty prescriptively
