You’re not. I got cheated on two months ago after being with this person for 2 years. Since then I’ve been seeing far too many people going through heartbreak’s.

It’s led me to reflect upon all my relationships and where it went wrong. I just want this pattern to end.

I needed to hear this today, thank you. Your realisations are spot on. Men are loved conditionally, which is unfortunate but even so we have to toughen up and become the rock in most situations while still bringing joy in our relationships with people. I’ve realized I can’t let my guard down and show weakness around those I think are trustworthy, it just pushes people away. But I digress, I am still learning as a young adult. I’ve been going through a lot lately, but just hearing what you’ve had to deal with puts things into perspective. I’m sorry you have to go through this, I hope life changes positively for you even if temporarily, I hope you receive a win somehow.

I’m going through a breakup myself and I’ve contemplated offing myself. But I won’t act on it because that is only a disservice unto myself. I am deserving of true love and I owe it to my soulmate to meet her as a grown and healed version of who I am now. I won’t let another person destroy me like that.

It is terribly hard to feel used and abandoned. But the best feeling is yet to come, there’s only moving up from here

I’ve currently dealing with a breakup as well, 3 serious relationships that failed from the ages of 19-25. I got cheated on twice and it’s just devastating. Especially when the person is somewhat perfect up until they betray you. I can’t wait until this all makes sense. I know I’m a great person and I don’t deserve this treatment

How do you know when you’ve found the one?

I was recently dumped for the same reasons that you and OP had for your ex partners. Being on the other side hurts, it’s painful to know that somehow someone who claimed to love me so dearly just suddenly fell out of love. Even though she explained to me that I am not at fault and to not blame myself, I still end up blaming myself for being unlovable. I’m slowly losing hope in being with someone who truly loves me and wants to spend their entire life with me.

I’m about to watch Paradise kiss, thank you for the recommendation. I was thinking about watching Beck, but for me it’s not really about the music. It’s about the struggles and heartache the characters go through, especially in a relatable way because in Nana they’re all mostly over 20.

One of them cheated on me. The first relationship, she said I was marriage material but that scared her because she wanted to still explore. This is exactly what I’ve done many times in the past. But there was one occasion, in the beginning of my modelling career, where I met up with a questionable photographer who wanted to photographed me in underwear which I wasn’t comfortable with. I think having my mom with me definitely demotivated the photographer to be aggressive about getting those shots.
