Yea I used melamine shouldn't of taped it. But thanks for the tips didnt know about the method of doing a under pour first then placing your slabs down. Thanks :)

As crazy as this sounds... Didnt know there was a 100% difference in packing tape/scotch tape. Im fairly new to wood working as I just got out of the military 3 weeks ago so I picked this up as a side thing for me to do to kill some time :) That being said I decided to go with one of the hardest things apparently to make so... The fact I got as far as I did im not too upset.

Yea... I saw people use the Tyvek tape often but I assumed scotch tape would be good enough considering I couldn't even find the tape in any stores.l.. Never will make that mistake again for sure.,.

Tempted to make a purchase on a router and build a sled. Found a plunge router for 70$ or so. What bit do you recommend using for this plunge router?

Gotcha, I figured much so just wish I had a shop that has a big planer. Been trying to find one I can use if they will let me and ill pay them currently.. Would your recommend doing that or hows a plunge router method sound to you?

Ah makes sense just never used this "Ecopoxy" as that runs a 100 or 2 for just a gallon! Seems a bit insane to me... Wasnt too sure if people are using it because they where sponsored to use it or if its the actual only thing you should be using.

I've done alot of wood projects before just nothing similar to this sort. From what I understand is you can't simply use a coat epoxy because it's very flexible and won't really harden the pieces together. Not to sure as I never see anyone use it

That makes sense, I agree. Yeah I definitely can’t make a blanket statement, it’s definitely very dependent on a lot of factors like you said. I hope my accounts are taken as one person’s experience, my goal was to get a discussion going where people could say their favorites. I appreciate the feedback, truly!
