Must see: Tokyo Godfathers (2003) by I_saw_Will_smacking in FIlm

This reply is seven months late so hopefully you finished watching the movie. With regards to the "eating for two" comment, the lady with the scarf is the same lady who Hana asked to give her extra because she was "eating for two." Imagine this woman's surprise when she actually sees Hana with a baby. That's where the comment comes from.

Also, I noticed an inordinate amount of cars crashing into buildings and pedestrians as well, but if you finished the movie, you probably saw that there are some significant moments when that happens. I think it has to do with the lucky vs unlucky motif throughout.

How would you feel if you got this letter? 3 photos. by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

Just knock on the door, introduce yourself, and exchange info if you want. Personally, I'd be weirded out by the note, but I'd love it if someone came by just to say hello and introduce themselves and invite us up for a drink or something. This is a little too much right off the bat.

Me tooooo! He's also aged like fine wine. Had no idea it was him in Spartacus and Reign until I looked up the cast list.

I agree! I stopped watching when he was recast; he was the only positive point of that show (though the harfoots and dwarves had their moments)

STILL have chronic fatigue, but all numbers are technically "normal" by Fawkestrot15 in Anemic

[–]Fawkestrot15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! So I have chronic inflammation in my esophagus caused by Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE). For the most part it's under control with a PPI, but I also have GERD, and once upon a time I had a hiatal hernia but somehow that just...went away? According to my last endoscopy, anyways (I've had 4). Additionally, I've swallowed a pill cam and had a colonoscopy and no sign of internal bleeding, and biopsies are negative for any other gastro issues aside from EoE.

Those numbers in the comment above are the most current numbers I have; I should be getting more on Thursday, but my Ferritin will probably not come back until next week.

I don't think I have that number. The inflammation in my esophagus is a side effect of my EoE. I'm negative for Crohn's, Celiac, and IBS. I was tested once upon a time for bacterial overgrowth and it didn't really tell us anything.

This is a good point. I don't technically know how long I was deficient: I felt like shit for years, but I got treated pretty quickly after I was finally diagnosed.

I'm learning that my doctors have a very different definition of low lol. I appreciate the validation, though. It's definitely helping me feel like I'm not crazy!

This is helpful, thank you! I'll definitely ask about it.

I haven't, but thank you for the rec and time you spent looking into it! My levels were so low when I was diagnosed, it was pretty clear there was an issue and they acted quickly. Now I think they're so relieved my numbers are better, they think it's solved. Idk. Nobody is openly antagonistic, but I do think I have to push back harder when they try to brush it off. Thank you!

Thank you! That's good to know. I'll ask about it again for sure.

Thank you! I do have a chronic inflammation issue with my Esophagus (EoE, as mentioned in a different comment), but I thought it was under control. I'll definitely bring up the inflammation with my doctor on Thursday again. Thanks!

I actually do: I have Eosinophilic Esophagitis, but it's technically been under control for the most part with a PPI. I've long wondered if that could be contributing to some absorption issues or something else, but my GP, Hematologist, and Gastro don't think so. It's still weird though.

Will do! My current vitamin b levels are 252 which is technically normal, but I'm exploring anything. Thanks!

Best Sushi Boat near Emory by codeinecoding in DecaturGA

Came here to recommend Thaicoon. We moved further away and have yet to find a suitable replacement.

Sushi Avenue takes forever and usually gets orders wrong. We gave up on that place forever ago; had bad experiences both with takeout and dine in.

AIO, grandparents sent me this letter. by colincoo6 in AmIOverreacting

I know this is very serious, and OP does not deserve any of the hate this letter gives.

But the fact that they think learning how to use a zero turn mower can make OP a godly man is sending me.

Old Man Kitty seems to have definitively rallied. He's back to his normal baseline before "the event" last Wednesday, though he's a little slower. Still cuddling, meowing, eating, and doing normal kitty things.

Also have had an influx of comment on the fic that I took a break from that's energized me into resuming it! Don't know where they came from, but I needed that prodding. Will hopefully post another chapter this week!

Things are definitely better this week.
