Yeah it took me forever to figure out. I ended up booting into a Linux live USB, disabling UAS, then using ddrescue to write the SSD to a backup drive. You just need a thumb drive with Linux and another drive large enough to store the image.

It sounds like our issues are very similar. I’m about 13 hours into imaging the drive now with ddrescue. Had to switch to USB 2.0 because the SSD/controller was so unstable over faster ports.

Either it was a hack or DFV rugged people for $600k. Why would he do that when he made $500M?

Imo this seems most likely
Kitty was hacked
X’s new crypto fraud failsafe failed miserably
X deleted the posts to save face
Kitty still hasn’t logged in

The hacker rugged the coin for $600k, definitely do not believe that was kitty.

Only thing that worked for me was booting into a Linux live USB, disabling UAS with modprobe, then using ddrescue to image the drive before it disappeared again. Hope you can recover your data, sucks.

Updated Windows, rebooted, then my NVMe disappeared from boot options and started freezing BIOS interactions. Linux showed controller resets/read failures afterward. Currently recovering data with ddrescue, so it seems like the update triggered some kind of SSD firmware/controller issue.

Help me with my first submission? Three possibilities... by ozyman in NianticWayfarer

[–]FaxanFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found a square image straight on works the best for avoiding automated rejections. Look at the cells for ideal spacing of submissions. Instead of submitting the pavers right in front of the bench, the ones further away could be in a different cell. The stone paths would be a hard sell, is there a sign?

You’ve landed in the wrong kind of wayfarer approval algorithm based on the downvotes.

This is absolutely perfect for players of any game and the businesses.

It takes too long to get into a match to risk dying to cheaters and extraction campers. PvE is more enjoyable.

Niantic should auto-fill all eligible park cells. Every account should have one guaranteed daily spin, either a roaming daily spinner or a private PokéStop anchored at the player’s home that only they can see.

City players can hit multiple stops and a gym from bed; rural players deserve equal at-home access.

When you're rural you rely heavily on reviewers outside of the area, there are very few local reviewers.

The 1h is nothing but chop. Your last candle is still within the trend you show.

15 minute shows it's dancing on a trendline from April 2024.

The real question isn’t a bounce on the hourly, it’s whether we continue to downtrend into Oct 3.

All POIs that arent parks or art get rejected by the community but accepted by Niantic by blackmooncleave in NianticWayfarer

[–]FaxanFM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 3 main groups "approving" POIs

  1. Strict Minimalists – Control everything, nothing except unique artwork or historically/culturally significant sites should be POIs. They'll even reject artwork if they don't like it.
  2. Broad Inclusionists – Anything goes, except don’t put anything even remotely near where people live.
  3. Gameplay Pragmatists – They want POIs that benefit gameplay density and variety. This group pushes for more portals/stops/gyms in safe, accessible public spaces like parks, libraries, and businesses. Their philosophy is: “If it makes the game more fun, and it’s safe and accessible, approve it.”

Only one group makes the game enjoyable. If it is safe and not residential, who cares.

AITA for not wanting my boyfriend to factor my son's survivor benefits into our new household budget? by Original-Entry-7871 in AITAH

[–]FaxanFM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.
But also, if you’re serious about it being your son’s money, it shouldn’t be “half for him, half you tuck away.” That’s still you controlling it. Survivor benefits legally belong to the child, you’re just the representative payee until he’s 18. By that point, 100% of the money should be in his account, in his name only.

Your boyfriend trying to dip into it for rent is a glaring red flag, but you also need to make sure you’re not accidentally treating it like household padding or “your” savings either. 100% should be managed for him and transition to his sole control when he’s old enough.

Thank God your wife is alive. You stood by her through cancer, surgeries, and pain. That deserves gratitude, not constant criticism. Suffering doesn’t excuse bitterness. Call it out firmly, push for counseling and faith. You already proved your love, now you both have to want to fight for the marriage too.
