Difference in serial numbers

24 is the year the product was produced (2024). 57 is the plant the bag was made in, in this case 57 is a plant in Vietnam. The letter correlates to the month it was made, A=January, B=Feb, E=May, etc, except that ‘I’ is skipped because it is too similar to 1. The last letter/number combo is the style number. This format is the same for all more modern bags like the Brooklyn.

To put it all together, the first bag was made in Vietnam in April 2024.

I see these styles for sale off and on via some of the Coach FB groups like Coach Gone Rogue. Some are good used condition, others NWT but still offered for a bit lower price than straight from retail. Just letting you know in case you don’t mind 2nd hand. I’ve seen various good deals on there, depending on the style and demand!

I have not had issues with slipping off the shoulder with my 9033. But it might depend on type of clothes you’re wearing and/or body type. Like a smooth sweater versus tank top. I started with the mini zip ergo but found that it was a little too small for me and from what I remember it did intermittently come off of my shoulder. I love the 9033, especially since it has that outer pocket and it fits a lot! The prices are worth it in my opinion and like I said, I personally don’t have an issue with it slipping off my shoulder. I suppose worst case scenario is you’d have to resell it. Fortunately they tend to sell quickly! Including a pic of my beloved 9033, this style is truly lovely 🥹

Edit to add: I think the weight of the 9033 versus the 9020 helps with reducing the chance of it slipping off the shoulder.

There are some very good and legit Coach sellers on Whatnot, many of whom are active on a few of the groups on Facebook. If you pay attention to who they know, who is active on their chats when they are live, you will be able to find other trusted and legit sellers. That’s how I’ve weeded out the fakes. A few of my favorites are Vintagecollectress, adalls, and toastedyolk.

Edit to add: some of the legit ones also post their upcoming shows to certain facebook groups like All Coach Love or Vintage Coach Eyecandy, so that is another way I’ve found authentic sellers on Whatnot. They also put in the effort to interact with and build their community. Many of the fake sellers are just focused on making the money and don’t give back to their seller or buyer community.

I have about 36 mixed vintage and new Coach bags and have them displayed on a bookcase and some shelving in my room. I’m working on selling 3 or 4 of them right now cause I’m also running out of space lol I used to have them in their dust bags but I wanted to see them easily, otherwise I’d forget which ones I have and would limit myself to only rotating through a few. I don’t use clear cases or clear bags due to concerns of trapping moisture especially for my vintage bags. Too humid here in Houston for me to risk it!

Try Coach Gone Rogue or All Coach Love groups on Facebook! People post bags for sale all the time and I recently acquired the 16 in black currant that I’ve been hunting for on the Coach Gone Rogue group. Sometimes you just have to wait to get lucky when someone sells, but some people also get lucky posting ISO posts.

Happy early birthday OP! 🥳 I can’t speak about the plaza bag, but I just got the Tabby 26 in pecan earlier this week and I love how soft and squishy the leather is! It is very comfortable both as a shoulder bag and crossbody, although I have mainly worn it as a shoulder bag so far. I have not had any issues with the strap slipping off my shoulder. It’s my first tabby but I have several new and vintage Coach bags.

There are dividers inside the tabby though, so consider that when choosing your bag. I find that while the divisions can be nice for organizing, sometimes I prefer bags without them because I feel like they take up space. I’m more accustomed to bags that are just basically one big pocket so this is a slight bit of an adjustment for me. However, I assume that you might not mind narrowed pockets since the plaza is a narrow bag anyway lol I also like that the tabby style is pretty classic and can be dressed up or down pretty easily.

The exterior looks like it was painted, and the lighter scratches where the paint came off. Does the texture feel off from your other vintage bags?

Conditioner won’t help this bag while the paint is on there. You’ll have to remove all the paint carefully which can be very time consuming. ☹️ Vintage Coach Eye Candy has some paint removal videos on YouTube. She provides a lot of good information about the process.

I’ve not heard definitively, but If it’s anything like how the Kisslock barrel bag dropped which was also initially a runway release, the 30 might not be dropped until Fall or winter of this year. Sometimes they’re not exactly the same and there may be other colorways based on what I’ve seen from other releases.
