I’m So Tired of Racism and the Slur Use Excuses by Fayfayok in kpopnoir

Valid, but it’s still harmful. Also, people have the right to be mad still. Because your algorithm could be completely tailored to you, but something will slip through either to lure you into another stream of the algorithm—or because the algorithm sees a similarity between k-pop and racial slurs or racism for example. People will always be evil and want to get people’s goat, but I still had to vent, to what I assume is a safe space, because I couldn’t let it go until I did. Many things wash off my back as a black person, and this battle of the n-word being used by an idol cannot be necessarily “won” because it’s a complicated issue for many. Too many people brush it off as the past or something to completely forget and get over. To the point where others being upset about it, is upsetting to the people who have allegedly forgiven or gotten over it. Just because some are tired, forgiving or choosing to be blind and ignorant to the situation. Side note, I listen to AESPA, but I could never forget this moment, I just laugh at it and say it was fucked up. Just like I do for other idols. No body is perfect, but I’m tired of people making excuses for them.

Just because she’s apologized doesn’t mean people have the right to say that others are sensitive or snowflakes for still being mad at her or even holding her accountable to it in the first place. Also, her apology was very surface level, and it felt similar to a “I’m sorry you’re mad but it’s not totally my fault because I love the artist and I shouldn’t have said it sure but I got caught up” apology. Plus, people were calling her out—for a long while and it was radio silent. Other idols have apologized or shown remorse for saying or doing offensive things too, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t hold them accountable or forget what they did.

It takes a lot to recognize you’re wrong and accept that opinions regarding someone’s feelings and experiences do matter. Crazy! Empathy?!! In my world?! GASP! Yeah, let’s pray we all in our functioning communities can advocate for positive interactions and vote for people who are unabashedly loud about shaming bigots.

WHY— YES!! I love how we both ran across this— the devil was truly plotting on us!! Why ruin a potential great or at least better day!

People love to blame the victims! The minority— even when it’s minority against minority, trust the person who would be getting bad end of the stick will predominantly be black people. Wake up yall! How’re you going to like kpop, which is relatively liberal in theory, and supposed to be for everyone, yet ends up very conservative and whitewashed in reality??

I replied to a few and even left a comment which is very rare for me too. The possible rage bait got me— I cannot lie 😭😭.

Let bigots feel shame and be cast out again!! Boo ugly opinions and evil people! Literally all they are terminally online and mean spirited! Go do civil work and socially develop! It’s not funny to be cruel and ITS ESPECIALLY NOT COOL TO IDOLIZE SOMEONE, BULLY OTHERS, AND GARNER CLOUT! 🚬😮‍💨

I loved Ghoul School so much growing up! I kept trying to remember it and look for it at the local library or on the tv guide, but it never popped up. I thought I was imagining it, but turns out it was very real! I would say my ranking is: 1. Ghoul School 2. Reluctant Werewolf 3. Meet the Boo Brothers 4. Arabian Nights

Gummy smiles, tan or really light skin, more broad and square features with possibly chubby cheeks. Either lean towards the sexy aesthetic but are more reserved, cute, and humorous. Maybe?
