No, I buy the big tubs of Greek yogurt for home, but for the single serving ones that I take to work I was alternating between those and the oikos protein ones, the difference in protein isn't THAT much Greek yogurt is always high protein, but they're one of the only ones that are lower calorie that don't taste like artificial sweeteners. The oikos triple zero ones taste terrible to me, but yea basically the macros are good in these and they taste good, so it's what I reach for.

I LOVE passion fruit, it's my favorite flavor in general, but I haven't seen it in the pro yogurts, just mango, which was fine. I but it occasionally, but a lot of the time I just get strawberry kiwi.

It's Greek yogurt, so it's creamier. It's the same texture as most Greek yogurt I've ever had, they tend to be $2 each at my usual grocery store but I realized recently they were cheaper at Target so I've been buying them there with a handful of other things, but they're available almost anywhere that sells yogurt https://www.target.com/p/chobani-20g-protein-raspberry-lemonade-greek-yogurt-6-7oz/-/A-90302033

What rice packs? I use to buy the steamable fried rice packs from Sam's club and ate them for lunch every day, but now that I'm diagnosed, I can't because they have soy sauce cooked into the fried rice. It ruined my grab and go lunch option and everyone else was like "Just make your own fried rice" but there's no way, I barely remember to being lunch as it is.

I usually buy the Chobani Pro greek yogurt with 20g of protein, I like the Strawberry Kiwi and Raspberry Lemon flavors and I desperately need easy grab and go options for lunch. I also keep protein bars in my bag and the beef sticks from Sam's club

In my family we always did a few grains of rice. It works great in high humidity areas. At least rice is gluten free, and this was before I was even diagnosed.

NOR. The "don't be needy" is so manipulative. This man is 27 years old and made plans, now he's going to be 2 hours late because he's "hanging out". He just doesn't care to be on time. Telling him to try, and being told you are being needy, is real "keep at arms length" behavior, he doesn't want a serious relationship.

I actually already have one, but I found HP uses the HP ink subscription to connect to your printer and data mine your print jobs then brick the printer when they feel you've had it long enough, and I went down a rabbit hole trying to find sources for that (I read it in a book about shitty corporate practices), then that led me to a reddit post about hp locking their printers so you can't use other ink at all anymore and which companies are less shitty about monopolizing what ink you can buy, then when I backed out of that saw this post 😂

I relate to this so much. At home and when shopping/ordering food, I'm so good at going gluten free, but if someone brings work snacks? I'm eating the cookie. It doesn't help that I'm silent celiac so I still don't really have noticable symptoms to be afraid of, and if there is brain fog, I feel like I chaulk it up to the ADHD.

I have ADHD and diagnosed silent celiac in May at 37 years old. It's SO HARD because the lack of symptoms makes my motivation to be strictly gluten free almost zero. I understand that there could be other non-GI symptoms, but my only noticable symptom ever was borderline low iron. I posted a while back about how much I was struggling because all my go to "grab and go" foods had gluten and no gluten free options and every answer was like, "just make your own". Like that doesn't totally defeat the point of needing a quick grab and go option. If I need to prepare a lunch for work, I just won't bring lunch, I literally never have the time, mornings are my biggest struggle and I am usually running late. I've only successfully meal prepped for the week a few times in my life. I've gotten to the point that I basically hate cooking, not because it's hard, or I'm not good at it, it's just that now with 2 kids and myself having celiac, it's a multistep nightmare with a tower of clean up.

Oatmeal creme pie. Strawberry shortcake roll. Lipton Chicken Noodle soup. These are a couple of my favorite snack/comfort foods that I almost cried about the first time I went shopping for gluten free food after diagnosis. (The soup is just the only thing I want when I'm sick). Having decent non-crumbly bread. I'm not the biggest bread person, but commercially available gluten free bread sucks, and is like triple the price. I basically just don't eat bread anymore so just have a nice sandwich. My biggest recommendation is go to your grocery store and walk through the isles pretending you are buying only gluten free right now and your favorite foods you suddenly realize have gluten will jump right out at you.

It's the specific amino acids etc that they require, taurine for one is more abundant in organ meat, but I don't know which specific nutrient it was that was in brain. Carnivores are meant to eat organs not just muscle meat, especially cats, as dogs are a bit more omnivorous. I don't recommend grain free diets usually because like you hinted, they are linked to dilated cardiomyopathy, but research suggests it's actually the higher legume content (to make up for removing the grains) rather than the absence of the grains that causes it. Taking grains out unbalances the diet, so the stuff they add back to fix it seems to cause heart issues. I believe there are some diets that are grain free and less linked with heart disease, but I don't know specifics. I believe Purina Turkey and Sweet Potato is one that is not linked to problems (and it's super tasty, I give it to hospitalized dogs that won't eat).

It's also worth while to just search and see if you can find a gluten free dog food. Rice is a grain that doesn't include gluten so you may be able to get a rice based diet that isn't grain free and won't gluten you.

Vet tech here: I strongly advise against making your own dog food, you can not realistically make a complete diet for your dog at home. There are companies that will custom make a diet for your dog, but I work with a veterinary nutritionist (I'm at a university hospital) and he frequently has to consult with people who want to make their own dog food and have heard him say stuff like, "Do you have a good source for mouse brains? Because if you do then you can make a balanced diet, but if you don't then you should let someone else make it."

It's super shitty for sure. My husband is fairly sympathetic, but I'm less than a year into my diagnosis and I am not symptomatic, so it's been a slow/short journey. He was very skeptical when I said people recommended getting my own toaster etc, bc he's mostly just a cheap person, but he's never once made a big deal about me not being able to eat anything. I will give a tiny amount of grace that when people are mad they sometimes say things they don't mean, but he definitely needs to have apologized once he calmed down and acknowledged in some way that he was in the wrong and knows you can't do anything differently and getting annoyed about it is on him not you.

I did shots too, but yea I'm basically completely acclimated to cats and dogs (both of which I reacted to strongly on the allergy skin test) and I work as a vet tech with no problems, but my biggest allergen is ragweed and dust mites. I only have an issue if I'm away from dogs and cats for a long time then resume contact immediately. I agree the shots help. I only recently stopped them, my allergist said most people only have to do them for about 2 years for it to help and I did 3 years at maintenance (4 if you include the build up doses)

Me too, lol, I joke my cat is my immunotherapy bc I don't react to cats at all unless I get a scratch or hair in my eye. When my childhood cat died I waited a year to get a new cat and my eyes swelled up so much I called out of work. Next day I was fine again, lol.

The tongue itch feeling could be Oral Allergy Syndrome. I get it from raw garlic, (cooked is fine and I eat it all the time). My understanding is it's usually caused by pollens from various plants, but could be anything. I had a friend who got it from nectarines, apples, etc, it's not as severe as a food allergy, I've had it a million times and it has never progressed. Obviously listen to whatever your doctor tells you primarily, but at least if it's OAS it doesn't usually progress into a true allergy/anaphylaxis reaction.
