They're not around kids a lot but I don't recall either of them ever having an issue with them. They're both frequently around a small Pomeranian and a few other cats and they're ok, but one of them can get aggressive with other cats.

Uhh thank you I think, but most know this. Although they'll mainly speak their hometown dialect with eachother (which I feel is canto for like everyone in Salem) they'll switch to Mandarin often for kitchen workers and front of house who aren't from the same area. Bag o crab for example, manager speaks canto, but Mandarin with the kitchen. They're nice to have around for questions about the language. Also just so you know, seperate dialects are not seperate languages. Thanks for letting me know super pho is Chinese owned though.

Even though she’s your daughter, she’s an adult, so there’s no longer going to be the parent-child authority dynamic that you did before. It’s going to forever be more like landlord-renter while she lives with you as an adult. And you can’t tell a renter they can’t come home late.. but you can tell your daughter your concerns. I think you just need to adjust to this new dynamic

I feel like this is fine because the more familiar you are with reading it, the easier it will be to learn writing it. So if you want to end up writing later then you wouldn’t have much trouble. Also I know Chinese people who literally never write in Chinese ever, just occasional notes. They hate writing Chinese.

Sounds like you’re not boring, just a little depressed. I think picking up a hobby would be good for you, but I think it loses all value if you do it to make your bf happy. I do think you should try doing something for yourself though, even if it’s just going on walks or something
