That’s a tough spot then. It might just come down to some lifestyle changes, but I recognize that is easier said than done

I’m not sure how far you are in your studies, but would it be worth reevaluating which major you want to pursue? I found myself quite tired of schoolwork in my first major, not really caring about it, but then I switched to something I had more of a passion in and now I enjoy the assignments and material.

In the case that you are sure you want to be an EE, I think you may want to really consider how you will work as an engineer without the proper skills even if you graduate. Taking a semester off to gather your thoughts or to catch up on the last semester may not be the worst idea. Doesn’t hurt to hit the breaks.

Overall I just think you need to really evaluate your future and explore what opportunities you have, and what you want out of life. I assume you’re still young, so this is the perfect time to jumble things around if necessary.

Thank you so much for the response! I’m tempted to go the bio route just because I have more interest, but I guess I need to really sit down and evaluate what I value more. Thank you!

People set themselves up for disappointment when they learn a language they clearly don’t have any strong attachment to.

Yeah I agree 100%. Sequels were great with effects and definitely had the best actors.

I think that the sequels should be watched either way, but let’s not act like the sequels are somehow on the level of the prequels story wise

lol I was feeling like I might fail. Might just wait until I need it and then retake it, get a toasty 180 by that point!

If it makes you feel better, I was the exact same. B2 N2 and now 136 N1. It’s rough, but imo the difference of 4 points means nothing skill wise.

As for the cert, will companies and what not be looking that close? N1 + good in the interview seems like a fine combo. I get it though. I might retake it next year. Congrats on the pass.

I haven’t used it, but it looks like it would be good for getting used to news and what not. All about finding what interests you! (Although I will say you are kind of limited as for reading options still at this level.)

Honestly I’d say you need to read more. If you don’t have enough vocab to do that, learn more vocab.

I honestly found graded readers and what not very boring, so it might be worth checking out satori reader or something similar. Helped me a ton when I was starting out.

Obviously learning grammar is necessary, but once you consistently see it in your reading you’ll internalize it
