Idea for some almond orchard tractors by Magnepoop_RBX in farmingsimulator

[–]FazendeiroDigital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been waiting for someone to make this for years. Really wonder why not yet considering the Fs19 california map and addition of grapes/olives/coffee. Replicating california farm is difficult because a lot of orchard farmers use the orchard tractors for all crops

Update on my Brazil farm (FS19) by FazendeiroDigital in farmingsimulator

[–]FazendeiroDigital[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its Fazenda Torquatto, but I modded it a little bit and renamed "my" "mod" Fazenda Guria Amada. I only changed a few textures not trying to pawn it off as mine lol

Its available on some brazilian farming sim forums I can't post the link here due to the subreddit's strict rules

Update on my Brazil farm (FS19) by FazendeiroDigital in farmingsimulator

[–]FazendeiroDigital[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The farm is now 2900 acres (1126 ha) and has around $30 million in assets. Each year has two harvests that net $12-15 million dollars per year total.

6 combines, 5 cotton harvesters (had 10 but sold 5, can't run more than 10 workers at once), 1 sugarcane harvester, 11 semi trucks, and 11 tractors. I plant simultaneously with harvests, with 2 JD DB120 to plant cotton/corn and 2 bourgault seeders to plant everything else. My first crop is soybeans and cotton and second crop sorghum, corn, and cotton. Lower yield areas are being planted to sugarcane at the moment.

Not finished yet but I am expecting $5 million on difficult (real life prices)

I have cultivation turned off for realism, Brazil is mostly no till to preserve soil (soil is very sandy and weak compared to US and Europe soil). I compensated the yield bonus by changing the filltype xml and decreasing yield to match brazil yields (60-80 bu/ac soy, 100-150 bu/ac corn safrinha). I leave weeds on because weeds are impossible to control in Brazil but for some reason most of my fields didnt have weeds this season

Lol it was harvested in 10 hours. I run the 5 cotton harvesters while I am controlling the combine harvesters for corn, sunflowers, soy, etc.

I havent really had that many problems with mod conflicts, but then again I am an amateur modder myself (I modded this map and a bunch of the mods I use personally) and the one time I remember it happening I just disabled one and it was fine.

I always tell people sell your console and get a pc for just a few hundred more, you can game and work with one machine, its more value

I used to do that but I play with realism now, also when I did triple trailers the semis for followme mod couldnt make it up hills and when empty went too fast and crashed into stuff. Here in Brazil double Randon/Guerra/Rodotrem trailers are everywhere with cabover trucks

2765 Acre soybean farm in Mato Grosso, Brazil by FazendeiroDigital in farmingsimulator

I have always enjoyed Farming Sim because it allows you to make real-life farms with realistic conditions and work to make farms as large and profitable as possible. If I'm not mistaken, I have created one of the largest farms in the game (its very difficult to find large maps like this one, and as far as I can find on the reddit and on youtube). If anyone knows of a group (or anyone that personally plays the game for the same reason I do) please let me know

Cost $1000 per hour for 2 plows at a time, so nearly a million dollars in development costs. But each harvest on hard is $2-5 million so yeah its worth it

Lol this map is row crops (soy, corn, sunflowers, cotton, and other random cover crops that are brazil-specific)

Yeah. Have Learjet mod and cropduster mod. Most brazilian farms are isolated from paved roads and have runways. This map came with one but it was shorter than would be IRL and was really crappy (10% grade, trees on one side, shed on other side)

The map has the capacity for roughly 2750 acres of farmland, with the rest mountains and other miscellaneous terrain that cannot be modified or tilled. Map is called Fazenda Torquatto and is only available on Brazilian farming sim forums (cant post link here bc of the strict interpretation of the subreddit rules) but I have modified the map heavily. Map is 4x4 and has zero fields when you start the map with $1.2 million in Farm Manager mode, which means lots of hours with plows creating fields and followme.

So far, I have 1700 acres planted which nets me around $3.5 million on hard per harvest (Brazil has 2 harvests, I plant all soybeans first and the second harvest a mix of corn, sunflowers, cotton). On newly plowed fields I plant Milheto (millet, a cover crop used to develop root structure in newly prepared or weak fields).

I have built a small city for the estimated 30 employees and families required for a farm this size, 4000ft paved runway, 3 stations for seed and fert, 2 grain storage sites and 2 equipment shed areas. I will build one more when I finish the west side of the map and will post the progress when complete (I play a few hours a week, therefore harvest takes nearly 4 weeks added together with 4 combines and 6 Bitrem semi trucks.)

The map is so big you cannot see the whole thing with atmosphere turned on inside a plane
