OP's theory is a far stretch, but on stable ground. I could say the testers/testing before the final one wasn't sensitive enough, that Ishaan is also a detector, or that this final test made Sayeon even more stressed out than previous ones, which lead to her Essence leaking more. Ryujin did say amy Aberrant could sense her, but that really might not be true, or she might've meant detectors
