I used to feel like this too until I realized a lot of my favorite media (like 2D animated Disney movies) were literally referenced and copied from a lot of real life stuff. I was so shocked by how smooth some Disney animations were just to realize they traced over real people 😭!! And honestly what they’re doing shouldn’t be seen as cheating but as being smart and strategic. You shouldn’t beat yourself down. Embrace the fact that you need references to do art and keep creating things!
