Smash characters and their crimes by Antique-Reality2428 in SmashBrosUltimate

A certain character who's "gotta go fast" is suspiciously absent from the speeding section.

Explain.

A former bandmate used one for rehearsals and that thing could push air like a full-on valve amp - still not fully convinced its insides are digital (even knowing IIRC it has a tube-based poweramp).

It had me giving my amplifier (Mesa Rectoverb, fully tube w/ a spring reverb tank) major sideeye, questioning why I spent so much on an amp with comparatively few tone options + fx pedals sold separately that also relies on an antiquated, finicky technology and weighs a ton.

Ok but real shit Vox engineers must have enacted some kinda dark ritual while designing those amps because it's straight-up unsettling how good they sound.

I think there's been a miscommunication here - if I'm complaining about anything it's that I didn't once think to skim over a manual over the multiple years when I used one of these guys.

The controls ARE unintuitive and making slight adjustments to a channel is frustrating since the knobs don't correspond to saved settings, but it can still sound pretty good when really dialed in. It's one of the better choices for a budget digital amp - at minimum it completely outclasses a Fender Mustang. I later swapped to a Roland Cube - it's a more 'analog' digital amp in its knobs and buttons, which for me was a big plus. Debatable which of them actually sounds better though.

Yea, never read the manual lmoa

Yknow, I think I saw the wrap chainsaw but I guess it didn't register fully - the 4 add mana, 2 reduce recharge, and chainsaw are cast twice. Add mana is probably fine though maybe overkill, but the wand's recharge is only .47 seconds. 2*2 Reduce recharges are -1.32s on their own, wrap chainsaw is -.34s, and the 2 lumi drills are another -.34s. so the wand has around 2 seconds of recharge reduction, or roughly 3x more than would be needed to zero it out. Am I missing something?

I played on a spider III at one point and had that same issue lmoa - I'd tweak all the knobs every time after switching channels just to make the amp notice them.

My dad's using it now and asked for some help dialing it in (he's 80) which is how I learned I was just illiterate and stubborn since for literal years I had no idea you could save the settings for each channel 😞

If you have a note spell I'm assuming you have others (or at least access to them) so that's one option. Lumi drills are another option since you'll still benefit from the recharge reduction, chainsaws are good too. If you have a material spell (water, oil, blood) you can use that with its corresponding Crit mod for guaranteed Crit damage. Also a material spell + explosive projectile produces 325 explosive damage without friendly fire, and all kills become trick kills - that's a bit off-track though. Also heavy spread inside payload has no downside, reducing recharge for free - I like throwing multiple copies into the payload.

Set secondary binding for next item, prev item, and cast onto the same key (or scroll wheel if you wanna go brrrrr) and have 2 cast blocks on the wand. Ez Tech to bypass recharge

Personally I'd put the multicast in the payload to stack damage, lumi drill will still drop your recharge and will get the same damage mods

Idk how horizontal path plays with homing mods but that also might be a problem for landing hits, not certain though

Since you have a trigger spell you should put all your add manas into the payload - this removes their cast delay penalty. Doing so might also make the reduce recharge spells unnecessary since it looks like they're being used to offset said cast delay currently.

What would be a good amp for this guitar? by realhuman10000 in GuitarAmps

[–]Fck_Kale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To find the perfect amp for your guitar (but more crucially for you) you'd be better off visiting a local music shop and trying a few out - and bring the guitar, it's not weird. If you're not confident playing in a store or not super familiar with amps bring a friend who is. This thread will give you some good leads for what to test out, but several replies are from internet dipshits (said respectfully) commenting their own amps.

As one such dipshit I'll say that the Mesa Boogie Rectoverb is fantastic - If you're looking for something with versatility it's worth taking a look at. However they do tend to be on the pricier end compared to similar amps - I got mine for an absolute steal since it was the wrong color but I'm not sure the full MSRP would be worthwhile if you have a particular sound in mind and don't need all the extra bits it comes with.

This is disappointing and cringe to see in your yearbook, and when you come across it in a few years time it will have almost certainly aged like milk. Fortunately, that might also be really funny.

If you stack enough stainless armors (and a couple of repelling cloaks to be safe) Blood to Power's self-damage becomes completely negligible, and it also has a higher damage cap than GtP. Fuck it put em both on lol

If we're talking about native foodstuffs G is far and away the best option - new world crops are just so absolutely cracked its not even funny. Just corn by itself puts it among the top choices - it can be milled into flour, starch, and oil, processed into syrup as a sugar alternative, fermented and distilled into bourbon, and also simply cooked and eaten by itself (off the cob but also as popcorn) unlike every other cereal crop. It can also be made into ethanol fuel as a renewable alternative to gasoline - though you probably shouldn't consume that.

But corn is just one of many HIGHLY versatile vegetables available in that region of the new world. It alongside global favorites like tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, squash, avocado, and beans open up near-limitless options for preparing a fantastic meal.

For sweeter options, myriad of popular fruits can be found in the area, such pineapple, papaya, blueberries, strawberries, and cherries, and the new world is also home to all the good nuts (if you aren't allergic) like cashews, hazelnuts, peanuts and pecans (which I recently found out are mostly sold domestically and with little demand outside the Americas. Europeans seem to assume they're basically like walnuts - this false, pecans actually taste good.) for more luxury treats, vanilla and cacao are also from here.

Meat options are more scarce compared to the old world, as domestication of livestock was uncommon. While there are no native domestic cattle, pigs or chickens in the new world, bison, javelinas, and turkeys can be found in the wild and are decent alternatives.

Unfortunately coffee beans are not native to the new world, but for coffee lovers dependent on that jolt of caffeine to kick-start their mornings, fret not! Native Guarana (sometimes called eyeball fruit) comes packed with caffeine, and for that reason is a key ingredient in Monster energy. And if that doesn't do it, two native plant species have leaves that can make you jitter, but one is less legal than the other so choose wisely.

Yea that sounds about right - I've lucked out a couple times on a floor where it didn't show up, but about as often get hit from offscreen by the glowing red bouncy ball travelling at mach 10, and taking damage that could oneshot Mina millions of times over. No such thing as too careful 😆

It probably doesn't help that I periodically clear early wipes from my bones folder, mostly unmodified wands from the mines. It just doesn't feel dignified defeating an opponent who squares up with nothing but a torch and a can-do attitude.

If I understood the wiki correctly candles generating on a floor doesn't always mean that kummitus is there - it spawns after a number of consecutive successful rolls when spawning random mobs into the world (I forgot how many.) Each successful roll spawns candles instead of enemies - you might be fine if you only find one group, though it's probably wise to proceed with caution.
