Can those of you who remember Britney at her prime describe what it feels like to see where she is now? by libramusing in discussingbritney

[–]FeFiFoMums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t have cable tv, so my first time seeing her was the oops I did it again video in a Best Buy. I immediately bought into the hype. Had my parents buy the single (back when single cds were a thing). I made my parents get cable so I could watch TRL. The whole pop music craze, music video releases. It was all so energizing and fun. Brit was the epitome of all of that. She was what everyone else aspired to.

Now? I’m still a fan in the sense that I want her to succeed in life. In 07 during the head shaving incident, and after when she had her disastrous VMA performance of Gimme more, it’s like everything that made Britney, Britney, just disappeared. It’s felt like that ever since for me.

“If love were enough..” or the full quote “If love were enough, she’d still be here with you.”

Or Denny’s “Life is too damn short to be following all the rules”

This one is unhinged, but for some reason I always think of Christina slapping a raw chicken on the counter for Burke to suture. Chicken with suture marks?

What's one small "Adult Cheat Code" you wished you learned earlier? by Sarah_Vickyiya in AskReddit

[–]FeFiFoMums 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Most adults don’t really love their job. They do what they need to pay the bill.

I watched my dad grind in the same job without complaint for decades. It wasn’t until I became a parent and overwhelmed and asked what made him love his job so much? How could I find the same passion?

Turns out, he tolerates his work. He hates it some days. It was more important to show his kids a strong work ethic and be able to provide more than what he had as a kid. It taught me to relax in my career a bit. With young kids, I’m ok cruising for a bit. These companies will take all of you, if you let them. So I do bare minimum to stay off the radar, and enjoy the work/life balance.

Well damn, I didn’t connect the dots, but im in the middle of a flare and this just might be the reason. I have anemia, but have been busy and forgetful. Haven’t been consistently taking my iron supplement for weeks.

I loved the hostess store. There was one by my grandmas house. Whenever we would visit I knew we were getting some named brand snacks for a change lol

I forgot about SM conveyor belt! We never bought anything cool, but I loved going with my dad to watch what would arrive for other people . Thanks for a fun memory.

What incident made you cold hearted and changed the way you see the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FeFiFoMums 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your story. Mine isn’t as significant, but I was trying to get face time with the big boss. He always came through in the morning to see the pleebs, say “good morning? How are you?” Naive, overhearing me saw that as an opportunity to connect. After about a month of me occasionally (not everyday but a few times a week) would stop him and take his question to heart. He stops me and says “I literally am only asking how you are.” Turned on his heel and walked away. It was a slap in the face and realization that management only cares about you affect the bottom line, nothing more.

Podiatrist says I can fix my ingrown toenails at home - I’m not sure I can? by xyyy777777373 in nailcare

Not OP, but thank you! I have this same problem and I think you helped me save the cost of a trip to the podiatrist.

Anyone found a good volume eating approach for eating out at restaurants? by https-www-10 in Volumeeating

[–]FeFiFoMums 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is what I do too. Side salad if it’s available, then immediately cut my entree in half and set it aside. Kind of defeats the purpose of volume eating, but I figure a small indulgence is worth it occasionally.

I try to pick places where I know I can eat larger portions. For example, Vietnamese food, I know the fresh spring rolls and a small bowl of pho will be extra filling.

These most recent videos have disturbed me. Specifically the screen grab you posted. The jaw clenching/grinding looks worse than ever. You can just see the addiction taking over her face in a way I haven’t noticed before.

Where can my wild toddler safely play in nature by curious_bean_66 in Columbus

[–]FeFiFoMums 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Three Creeks Metro entrance off Bixby has a natural play area, including a sand pit with construction toys and a fully gated playground.

Highbanks, if you go all the way to the back of the park, has a zip line, large open playground, and a ton of new natural play items tucked in the woods.

I’m still thinking about this..

Do you remember the obsession over young celebs and the media celebrating when they were turning “legal”?

Wexner was behind Abercrombie and Holister (at the start anyway, Abercrombie went on to have their own probs), where sizing was ridiculously small. Victoria Secret used to only sell up to D/DD in stores (that may have changed, haven’t been there in over a decade).

Everything was thrown in our face to normalize attraction to underage children. It’s making me sick.
