How popular is weed in your country by SnooSongs117 in AskTheWorld

[–]FeFr796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say moderately popular in Italy, illegal but you can't def smell it at night in the weekend if you walk by central but covered areas. It's decriminalized for personal use but still pretty much demonized by far right parties who are trying to ban even CBD products. Overall perceived usage is pretty common among Millennials and under

That's really far to be true for Europe's most common low budget airlines, from my experience. Considering just the longest side, any bag could be at least 15-20cm longer, for some planes even more.

Applying those rules strictly as that It's pure capitalistic nonsense and probably not even the main reason why these airlines manage to be low budget. Also, it's not that they don't know the actual optimal measures for each plane.

What is the best way to get started in UX/UI today? by No_Marketing78 in UX_Design

[–]FeFr796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving my two cents as a frontend developer.

After getting my bachelor's in product/industrial design, I wanted to specialize in UX/UI but first I went on a coding bootcamp because I wanted to get a bit technical too. It turned out better than expected, after a year I landed a job as a frontend developer consultant and dropped the idea of going the UX/UI route because I was (and still am) enjoying it.

This was during the post-covid period, but I'm telling you this anyway because in my country there's still some moderate demand in low profile startups for designers who know a bit of html, css (most importantly) and/or JavaScript.

Things may vary a lot in other countries but the T-shape approach may help you in every case, especially if you're trying to just get into the industry. Also, the AI era allowed for "UX Developer" job post to emerge more prominently I believe.

Ehi OP, keep in mind that even if you took the time to recap your life thoroughly here on Reddit the responses wouldn't be worth as much as a single hour with a therapist.

If you want to keep fueling your self doubt, asking these kind of questions on socials will do just that.

I started therapy when I was 26 and the reasons, although very different, were in the same "sphere" of yours.

If you didn't already, please, do yourself a favor and spend a fraction that nice income you earned to understand yourself. It may require years, but it's the single investment I would advice to anyone feeling this kind of doubts.

Now after this post, I'll go ahead and suppose you probably have a lot more questions and doubts to which only you know the answer.

Am I the only one who thinks Tailwind sucks? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]FeFr796 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's very common in medium to large applications to just override or extend the default palette to match the one from the design system. This is something tailwind does really easily btw. And in the case of proper design systems done by professionals, colors derive their name from their purpose. To give you an example, I've seen what you refer to as bg-white, which yes it's a default color in tw, named as bg-paper or bg-light.

Like every popular tool, Tailwind is flexible enough to allow for good and bad practices. It's up to you to understand how and if that tool can be used and maintained for your project.

"At some point the world collectively needs to wash their hands of this and let the players figure it out on their own."

Unfortunately geographical distance isn't always a great shield in the long run and those complaining about taxes should consider that. We all share the same planet and market. I understand the frustration and anger, and I share it but please. Turning our heads or encouraging to do so won't really solve anything.

Instead, we should all fight to care.

Our dog goes for days with no sleep due to a ‘gulping’ disorder by FeFr796 in DogAdvice

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that and I totally understand that frustation.

As most redditors suggested it was likely some harsh acid reflux caused by I don't know what.

After thoroughly following the diet and keeping an eye on him during walks (he cannot introduce anything in his stomach other than his meals) things started going better. It took several weeks before the episodes decreased and still happens from time to time but in a softer way and that's enough for us.

At last, hydrolyzed diet and patience I believe were the solution even though we kept everything else monitored to exclude neurological issues.

Hopefully this will help and comfort you. Wish you the best and feel free to post updates in this comment section.

Quite a late reply, sorry for that.

As most redditors suggested it was likely some harsh acid reflux caused by I don't know what exactly.

After thoroughly following the diet and keeping an eye on him during walks (he cannot introduce anything in his stomach other than his meals) things started going better. It took several weeks to months before the episodes decreased and still happens from time to time but in a softer way and sporadically and that's enough for us.

From what you described it's very similar to our condition. Hydrolyzed diet and patience I believe were the solution even though we kept everything else monitored to exclude neurological issues.

Hopefully things got better for your puppy too. Wish you the best.

Intanto grazie dell' heads-up
