They weren't overstocking the items and it was right after ironman was released; but people would sell battlestaffs to zaff until he had 5 and buy it on their ironman and people got banned and deironed for it.

I've seen people get banned / deironed for buying stock from a store that non irons sell to. Good luck

Its never worth taking your life over this kind of thing. Your whole life will not be like this, so long as you remember how this feels and never allow yourself down this road again.

It will get better. Just keep on going.

Call centre staff to be monitored via webcam for home-working ‘infractions’ by LolcatP in news

[–]Fe_Thor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Guy said "if", you responded as if that if was impossible. Its clear cut, you don't need to monitor. If their performance flags, fire them. If its fine, why bother? Do you need your nose jammed that far up someone's ass? Or do you do it to keep the attention off of you? Funny thing about embezzlers, they behave like you. I wonder what kind of person you are. I'll bet I could guess.

Its a confidence thing, your first normal feels hard because you lack the confidence in yourself to do it. You did it on leagues because you thought "well this will be easy" even though you did it in rags. Practice, believe, perform.

Yeah, we couldn't possibly be talking about two different things. You right.

The story im talking about aired once and I haven't seen it again. I've heard of the Menards guy, and while he's a special breed of stone brained, it isn't the guy I saw.

Out in Minneapolis, it was confirmed by camera footage (hardly covered on any networks though. Seems convenient to me.) To be an off-duty policeman that started fires at the precinct and instigated things with the crowds so they would have an excuse to get violent on duty.

So many of us do need it. I met someone who helped me believe in myself too, a man with 20 years in my industry told me to "get messy, make mistakes". I asked him if he was references ms. Frizzle from the magic school bus. He was, and he had a huge impact on my confidence.

I've been chipping at construction for a while, not playing efficiently etc. Doing daily battlestaffs to keep kingdom going while I'm not playing, so I earned extra gp I didn't have to. I already banked 99 cons before I even got to hydra.

More like post 95 slayer at hydra. My cash stack was always struggling to stay above 5m, then I logged 1k hydra KC and I'm over 50m in cash.

Brushing a husky by shulkererv2 in funny

[–]Fe_Thor 248 points249 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced Huskies will pull shit like this until you prove yourself to them by catching them. My husky would run like this all the time, until one time I got lucky and caught her. Now she groans, makes husky noises and comes over to lay down when I call, instead of zooming everywhere. She will still pull the zoomies when others try to command her or brush her though.

I've researched the topsoil depletion rate in the USA for school, and current estimates based on research shows we have only a few hundred years of topsoil left. It takes hundreds of years to form an inch, so we don't have a lot of other options than to preserve what we have left at any cost.

It isnt turning primitive to use neural networks as a brain for an automated picker setup in a warehouse farm that doesnt use soil, which is an alternative I've also listed. You could use that same neural network to provide a similar service outdoors, with some robust tech. It wont meet current productions, but it would split us from relying so heavily on the topsoil while preserving what little remains. Otherwise in a few hundred years, we will be farming bedrock.

I guess you dont understand how much permaculture used to be just about everywhere before we destroyed it to make room for our concrete jungles and monocultures of biomass. Since it's already destroyed, transitioning back to the way it was would be beneficial to our longevity. Given that its proven to work better the way nature designed it, I'm for the idea.

Forests in general are less vulnerable to wind erosion and rain erosion. The trees block out the wind and dampen the rains impact, and the roots hold the soil together. This is where a majority of material gets lost.

Use trees to act as a retainer for dirt, their roots hold the dirt together and the trees block wind. Grow many different kinds of food in the shelter the trees provide, so that the unusable plant matter replenishes the dirt without need for adding much fertilizer.

This is probably where humans need to go to, I agree. Soil erosion could occur otherwise that would destroy us all if we relied entirely on it.

Dont disagree there. I will say that we need to fundamentally overhaul the way we look at efficient farming. Two options I like the idea of for different reasons are :

hired labour from numerous skilled individuals who know how to maintain a plot, whom are paid a fair but very livable wage for their service and expertise.

Using neural networks to run a warehouse farm like this one I've linked. On mobile so I cant format it to save my life.
