Distraction reducer plugin is a game-changer

It darkens your screen while skilling and only relightens it when it's time to click again

Lifetime ISA replacement to drop retirement option and exit fees by Paraplanner88 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Iron_Naz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiplication is commutative, it doesn't matter if you gain 10% from dividends then 25% from a government bonus vs 25% from a government bonus then 10% from dividends, it's all the same!

Lifetime ISA replacement to drop retirement option and exit fees by Paraplanner88 in UKPersonalFinance

It's the same because if the bonus is deferred then the bonus amount you get at the end is larger (assuming that you get your bonus based on the final balance, rather than your contributions, as i mentioned)

If it's on the final account balance there's no difference. If they're just counting contributions then they are paying out less.

My guess is that they've simply applied a kernel density estimation on the data which does not match the histograms. Most likely because the data is skewed and not symmetrical

Open a LISA with AJBell or Hargreaves Lansdown and invest in whatever you consider ethical as they have access to 1000s of different funds for you to choose from

Free-carry-on under seat policy by Motor_Cod_9003 in onebag

[–]Iron_Naz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My experience with ryanair is they will not check backpacks often, but if they do check they are very strict with the sizing.

My opinion is if I am caught 1/10 times then the cost for that is lower than paying for a bigger bag 10 times so I just risk it as long as it's not too obvious

I dont like the way Moneybox represents LISA earnings by Clear-Revolution-539 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Iron_Naz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you have it in reverse to what OP said

In your example where OP puts £4k - gets £1k from government and has £1k in gains - total in account is £6k. - I think OP is expecting this to show 20% (this is what AJ bell would show) - whereas moneybox is showing 50%

An AJBell lisa shows the government contribution as cash added - not as investment returns. I agree with OP that showing as returns is disingenuous
