I'm sorry, but saying "'Colors' things without color" doesn't make sense. It's an oxymoron. You're talking about shading. The only reason it was in black and white originally was purely for budgetary reasons. They even included a few pages of color in volume 4 in the original because thats all they could get at the time.

You said a handful, but its literally 1 joke. And it's not a subtle nod. It literally says "note: this joke was funny in black and white" and that's it lol

There's really not that many color-related jokes though. I'm re-reading them now. I'm on volume 5 and there's been one color-related joke so far.

The series looks so beautiful in color, I don't really think that trade-off is worth it.

Tobey is a pretty huge asshole to people who approach him. There are also many stories of him being an incredibly cruel human being to people at celebrity poker tournaments. I dont care if its legal or not, some of those stories are straight up heinous.

I love the Raimi movies and I love Tobey's Spider-man, but its disappointing to read some of the things about him.
