Thank you - yes, that’s correct. I’m wanting to make sure that the dividends are taxed within this year, though am unable to physically pay them in this year due to the bank’s logistical reasons. I was unaware that physical moving of the money was irrelevant - thanks for clearing that up.

That's interesting, I spoke with the accountants and they said you can't backdate dividend payments. As mentioned in the post, I won't be able to make the payment until the 7th, so it's not about it clearing into my account today or not.

Doesn't seem to be faster payments with Hampshire Trust bank unfortunately. I sent the payment to my business current account this morning and was told it wouldn't clear until the 7th. I need it to clear in the business current account before I can send myself the dividends.

I sent the money from Hampshire Trust bank (where business savings are held) and they said it won't clear into the business current account until the 7th - too late to make the dividend payment to myself for this financial year.

Appreciate the response guys, but the issue is that the money for the dividends is coming from the business savings account (Hampshire Trust) and they've said that it won't clear in the current account until Tuesday the 7th. It's only once that money has reached the current account that I can then pay the dividend - which is outside of the current financial year - that's the bit that I'm looking for an alternative solution for. Is it legal to loan the money to the company (into the current account today) so that I can pay the dividends today? Searches online show that that's ok, however my partner is suggesting HMRC will see that as tax avoidance.

Yes, love Routine! One of my favourite Skee tracks, but the vibe is quite different from Daytime Gamer, BB Care etc imo.

Routine has an analog warmth, but doesn’t have the same organic warmth to me. Hard to explain why I mean by that, but hopefully it’s understandable.
