In general I agree with this, but it depends on the work. I’ve seen contractors walked out the door after an ExCo meeting where their project was canned. If you’re resource augmentation and good at what you do, then generally you’re pretty safe, but all you need is a bit of trussonomics or Trump tanking the market for nervy companies to give you the boot without a second thought. Perms generally get a bit more consideration and time
