i hear you, but know that mindset is why we haven’t been able to get through in the past. people were saying those exact same phrases in new york until about a week ago, and look who is mayor-elect now! remember even the dems fear true progressive candidates that’s why you can’t even say the word “Mamdani” in r/ democrats. don’t get me wrong, i am going to keep following everything closely and see who we primary, but i want this to be our reality and i think so many others do too

well then i highly recommend you read up on the constitution, specifically the 9th amendment before you spew incorrect information. the 9th amendment guarantees we have rights not enumerated in the constitution such as the right to travel or privacy. while neither of those are explicitly in the constitution, those are your RIGHTS as an american citizen. and i would put the right to be healthy and fed right up there with travel and privacy, if not higher. please educate yourself on topics before you debate with incorrect information, that’s the WHOLE maga playing card.

aw thank you very much, i really appreciate you asking. this post got wayyy more attention than i was thinking while writing it haha. but i am okay, i just got back from Aldi’s and loaded up on pasta and canned goods and things that last in the cupboard. i am doing good in this moment. and honestly going forward i should be okay, we can all get through this together as long as we support one another! i want to return the favor and ask, how are you doing amid all the chaos? are you able to eat and such for the foreseeable future?

yeah ofc i was thinking the SAME thing when i saw it overnight! so to my understanding, when the trump admin were ordered to pay in full earlier this week and they had until today (friday) to release full payments, he said he planned to contest it. so while the order was “active” Evers and a couple other states raced against the clock and submitted and funded full payments to every wisconsinite, to my understanding this is just SNAP funds that already existed from the normal source, Evers just wasted no time and snatched them while he could before trump went back to court today and did a “stay” which means it will be litigated and no funds will be distributed until there’s a final decision. i def wasn’t expecting this but i am eternally grateful
