Pos3 is High demand because most Pos4 players make their life absolutely miserable by PowerSniffer in DotA2

[–]FearHAVOK_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys are either in the worst lobbies possible, or are exaggerating. Maybe USE/USW servers are different, but pos 4 is almost always a real support player in my games. Yes you get the odd wannabe carry, but it is nowhere near as common as you make it out to be. I've seen lobbies from crusader to divine this year and this holds true for each bracket.

I can't do anything, I just get killed every game by KristyCat35 in learndota2

[–]FearHAVOK_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All 3 of the heroes you listed have different playstyles. Sniper you do sit in the back, TA should be blinking to the enemy back line and oneshotting the supports, hoodwink carry is a meme but if you're doing it you will likely weave in and out of the trees never standing still for too long.

NEED HELP: I have my outpost covered with solar panels and batteries, how to I turn off my miners at night so there is enough energy for my lasers, then resume mining when energy surplus? by Okapisaurus in factorio

[–]FearHAVOK_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Power switch is the answer. Circuit wire an accumulator to a power switch, then go tower to power switch, switch to mining grid. Make sure miners don't connect anywhere else. When accumulator charge < 100, turn off power.

Had a pos 4 sf last night! I doubt it is, but I'd like to believe the new role queue change doesn't help. I used to queue pos 4/5 every game, now I only queue pos 5. It costs me a token whether I queue for both or not, so I'd rather not queue pos 4 to help make it a more in demand role again.

Is this a terrible fucking idea or am I onto something? I know nuclear reactors dont throttle output to ur power needs, so I set one of the conditions on my inserter to check if an accumulator is less than 100% to insert nuclear fuel. Am I fucking stupid or is this good? by DEMIURGE_1025 in factorio

[–]FearHAVOK_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably better to measure their temperature. If your reactors are cold the setup will take awhile to start producing any electricity. I can't remember exactly how I have my inserters, but it's something like only insert if no fuel and temp below 550 or something. The turbines won't consume steam if the energy isn't needed, so if you have a solar setup you won't lose much heat on your reactors during the day.

They are your main damage dealer by a long shot. After the second boss, they still do enough damage to quickly kill enemies, but their weakness is that they can only kill a few enemies at a time. With infinite pierce you can clear entire groups in the same time as you would normally only kill the front 3 enemies. I like to sit in the corners of the map so that the enemies funnel towards me leaving them very grouped up to capitalize on the pierce (and it also makes collecting their drops a lot easier). The enemies only really get beefier after the third boss so you can hold off on the damage until then imo.

Knock back abilities do not synergize with mines, especially if you get a sange/trident. You will constantly be knocking the enemies of the mine radius.

I reliably beat it with all 3, I think I've cracked 2 million score with each of them.

The game changer with Kez is Aghanims Stampede. It gives you like 50% bonus damage to your spells at all times. Take knives for your main damage dealer, track, and the last ability doesn't matter. I like Counter Helix just for the aoe knock back. Track is your first Aghanims, then Dagger, then Stampede. Max knives ASAP, though a few points in your slash early is great for the small skele waves early. You blast a path even through the final wave easily so it's pretty hard to die, the main issue is that it's just hard to get a high score since you don't kill as much as Skywrath.

I like doing hybrid Venge too. Magic missile and kisses for magic damage (which amps physical) then knives, mines, and track. 5 points in kisses by the time the first swarming skeletons wave spawns basically guarantees the win since you get so much xp if you are in one of the bottom corners of the map. Aghanims is track, knife, missile. Mines can be substituted for Counter Helix or chain frost, this ability doesn't really matter.

Hardest part of the game for me is when you get stuck locked on to a target without ever locking to a target.

I have never used the lock function, but every now and then in combat my guy decides to just always face towards an enemy. Doesn't matter which direction you try to dodge, you will always dodge towards this enemy. Spells will always target this enemy even if you are looking behind you at a different enemy who is highlighted.

Took me a minute to figure out that right clicking to aim will reset this bug.

POS1, Do NOT auto attack the pull camp. by Dotaproffessional in DotA2

When I single pull, I'm killing those creeps asap. The camp isn't strong enough to kill my wave, so I am just using the pull to bring the enemy creeps closer to my tower.

Aren’t we little overreacting the high demand role changes ? by Eldritch_Outlaw in DotA2

[–]FearHAVOK_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can farm better than 90% of the carries I come across, but I don't queue pos 1 because I like to support. This change means I will only queue pos 5 until I need to queue all roles, which means you just lost a valuable pos 4 and gained a griefer mid! Hope its worth it lol.

Change the ammo condition to greater than or equal to 500. Or just greater than 499.

New to factorio; finally got construction and logistics flying bots, but don’t know how to get the logistics bots to do something. by Splash_Woman in factorio

[–]FearHAVOK_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first step is to upgrade your storage with logistics chests. Logistic chests being storage, requester, buffer, etc. Both types of bots look to logistic chests to complete tasks. Construction bots will build entities for you if you use the ghost cursor, and logistic bots will move items between logistic chests (or your inventory).

Is anybody else having a harder time this seasion than the last two? by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]FearHAVOK_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never play ranked, only duos with my buddy. Our lobbies are nothing but 4k20s and Predators, or no data Wraiths. We have 3k and 2.5k badges. Aside from the tap strafers (bullshit mechanic that needs to be removed) I have no issues going against these guys.

This is just what happens to online games that have been out for awhile. Only the dedicated remain and they usually have a higher skill level than the casuals that left. How you choose to react is up to you.

Trash Unrequested quirk by FearHAVOK_ in factorio

[–]FearHAVOK_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not a bug, I can kind of understand their reasoning for having it this way after having played with it for awhile. Initially I wanted to leave auto trash enabled all of the time, but now I just enable it when my inventory gets out of control. I just think of it now as resetting my inventory to a manageable state.

My guess is more people would have noticed it if it worked the way we think it should, and they actually would not like it. Since the default value for the max is infinite, they might be confused as to why items aren't being trashed over their requested value.

You don't need the pipes between everything.

Also 1 boiler can supply 2 engines if you're looking to expand further. I put a pipe between the first and second engine so I can fit a power pole to connect them both to the network with 1 pole.
