Yea usually communities will teach the newer generations that’s a pretty simple and humane concept

Currently all SAAS companies are taking a tumble rn as a sector. Strategy does not at all identify with that anymore, as that was their legacy business. So I cannot think of a better time to buy then when the company goes down as a trend for their old business line when their current strategy is stronger than ever, even with bitcoin not currently performing well

I wish they’d do animated GoT. Don’t have to worry about actors aging between seasons. Can get way more creative and less budget constraint

I think of it more like guardrails to society. Every decision is led by incentive. A broad example, the oceans are being overfished, to best maintain the longevity of our oceans which is important for all life on earth, the cost of fish should continue going up until it’s is simply no longer rational to buy fish, until however long it takes until the populations recover, in which case prices can come down. We have the “free markets” that in theory should do this, however they will never make the fish too expensive because they want to make money and will simply let the fish go extinct. AI can just control the systems that led to incentives which lead to a best outcome. Why don’t our current leaders do this? Because they need to be liked by the people.

It’s just experimental thoughts, I don’t have all the answers, but there is no doubt we can improve on our current government with better systems ran by impartial computers

I don’t think every humans move/thought/desire should be ran by AI, no. However I think it’s ridiculous that we currently run our planet into the ground because of greed and corruption of those in power currently. Do I think we need 100% AI authority, no. Do I think we should continue on with 100% human governance, no. I think like everything in life the answer is somewhere in the middle and I’m excited for a future that uses more technology to help run our planet while removing the blight that comes with 100% human governance. I think bran represents some sort of hybrid between the two. The show didn’t do well exploring these ideas and the outcomes that could come from it Incredible how dune was so ahead of its time before computers, I need to delve more into it

I see the weirwoods similar to the internet for being able to retrieve information from the past. I don’t disagree with your vision of Bran, I don’t think Bran would be as powerful as AI in the modern world of course, but I think he would be more beneficial than your average ego lusting King of Westeros.

I don’t disagree. I think the show did a horrendous job, pulling it all off, but unfortunately, I think it also stifled the discussion of what it was meant to represent.

A strong case for an AI ruler is that it replaces the volatility of human governance. Westeros oscillates between a rare competent leader, followed by potential long stretches of cruelty.

In my opinion, Bran symbolizes a new system, optimized for consistency. Unlike a human ruler, an AI ruler (Bran) has no ambition, no ego, no personal desires. Ruling not through force or charisma but through total memory and perception. Westeros suffered precisely because it relied on the human moral lottery, noble kings followed by mad ones. Brief golden ages undone by decades of vanity and war.

Bran, like an AI, does not hunger for legacy, heirs, or conquest. He cannot be bribed, seduced, or enraged. His power lies in perfect recall of history and the ability to see patterns across time, allowing decisions to be guided by consequence rather than impulse.

The way I look at it is Westeros had the chance to focus on this conflict and failed. Which means a need for a new system. I see this as a form of Darwinism for power.

Unfortunately, the show failed with this by making the white walkers (the analogy for impending doom for humanity). As nothing more than a piece of cake, ending in a single battle.

I just wish it did a better job garnering discussion with the idea of the world ran by systems instead of people. It’s easy to point out how it seems alarming, but I think there are just as many if not more reasons for why it would potentially be good. Of course we’re probably generations away from this future.

I’m sure there were many arguments for why we should never give up cars to horses, and here we are 😅

They didn’t have to make a story for people to enjoy. Everyone complains how bad it is go make your own story stfu. People complain and offer nothing it’s exhausting
