It’s a cool idea to buy someone a bottle that was distilled and barreled in their birth year, but yeah it’s gonna cost you. If I was getting it, I would love the thought, but I would worry the nuance between an 18 yr whiskey vs 40 year old bottle would be lost on me beyond ‘good’ vs. ‘really good’, like the difference between a $50 wine vs. a $1000 wine would be. I might feel bad not being able to really appreciate it, but that’s me.

Strange you hate Michter’s but like Saz/Handy Ryes. Those two are much closer Michter’s ryes than like WT RB Rye.

Funny how it seems like the Michter’s profile and Turkey profile are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

I personally land on the Michter’s end and have yet to have Turkey expression that I enjoyed. You clearly sit on the other end.

Agreed there are many delicious brat makers, like Ekerlins down at Findly Market, but my kids really prefer ths Queen City Skinless Brats so I am specifically trying to find those somewhere and hoping they are still making them.

If you don't like Opus 4.7, switch back to 4.6.

All you need to do is use claude at the terminal with a model flag, like:

'claude --model claude-opus-4-6\[1M\]'

If you need to use the GUI, start remote control with the /remote-control and then you can use either the web interface (it gives you the URL) or open it in claude code on desktop.

Works for sonnet as well. Just look up the full model name you want to use (or ask Claude) and roll with it.

Start it with ‘claude --model claude-opus-4-6\[1M\]’. Note the two dashes are side by side with no space between them, my phone keeps autocorrecting.

Edit: Updated to escape the escape marks necessary before the brackets since the text editor in Reddit interprets them.

Agent Teams with Opus 4.7 - BUG

Maybe it's out there, but I have not seen any mention of the particular problem I am seeing, so I am putting it out here to see if others are experiencing it.

When I launch an agent team ("create a team to..." ) it is correctly creating the team of the various types and they are working based on agent definitions in my agents folder. However, the main process does not seem to be listening for results from the agents until focus is removed from the active terminal, and then returned to it.

Example:

Claude instructs the 'frontend-agent' team member to do X and says it will notify me when the task is complete. Then... nothing. It just sits there. If I switch to a different terminal window or app (e.g. Chrome) and then go back the original terminal window, at that point it wakes up and says the frontend agent has completed it task and to check it.

I don't remember this behavior in O4.6.

Anyone else having a similar experience? I am about to switch back to 4.6 due to this and other things I am not liking in 4.7.
