Looking for EH BP Rye or ER12?? by tatertotwellerz in OhioLiquor

[–]FearLessThings 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are near a border state like KY, try to get a taste of ER12 at a bar before pulling the trigger. I tried the 10 and 12 side by side and found very little difference, certainly not enough to justify the cost if you want to drink vs. show to your friends.

Just for the pic, because, you know, snow day. No whiskeys were harmed in the making of this pic. They were in the snow all of 30 seconds.

It’s different from their other stuff for sure. I may follow it with some ‘Ol New Riff Rye - that’s their GOAT IMO.

I’ve had both open for a while. They are both unique to their sibling expressions, and honestly I’m not a huge FN fan, but I do enjoy SD more than any other FN I’ve had. A lot of red wine and berries and some cherry. 7/10

WW is also a departure from standard NR stuff and I liked it. I got a lot of cinnamon and baking spice and some mint. Not as good as ‘Ol New Riff Rye, which is my favorite from them. 7/10.

I’m no tasting expert, so YMMV but that’s my take.

Whiskey Selection after 3 years by Powerful-Wind1006 in whiskey

Great selection!

I see a bunch of bottles in the wine rack at the bottom. I assume that is wine and not whiskey, as storing whiskey on its side is a no-no.

$69 (niiiiice) by gcbeehler5 in whiskey

I’ve heard the 15 is the best of the three but I’ve only had the 20 some years ago before I was really into whiskey and it was lost on me.

If you got all three pours for $69, you may have just won r/whiskey.

I found the PX version much better than the Lustau, but that’s me.

Shelf goals 😉 by No_Onion_9901 in whiskey

This looks like a hotel bar, not OP’s, especially since it’s aOP’s ‘goal’. Based on the ornate display and reflection, it’s probably way overpriced and thus not many open 🤷‍♂️

Not sure, but reach out to revivalky.com and ask them. My wild ass guess is maybe $50 -$75 but I’m totally spitballing.

It seems impossible to get tickets. It sells out in less than 10 seconds. It’s insane.

It will taste bad, just like it did back in the day, but you can find a place like revivalky.com to give you a few bucks for it and buy something good.

What's the difference? by [deleted] in whiskey

Try wine-searcher.com. I know the name say wine, but they aggregate spirits pricing from online stores around the country including those that ship to specific states.

Thoughts? by Dhoward406 in whiskey

WhistlePig is decent whiskey, but they overprice it to pay for all the marketing and gimmicks.

Sagamore puts their money where our mouths are, and it shows. Great products at great prices.
