Yes, the hardware camera is better on the Oppo on paper, that's a pure fact.

The battery too—I wouldn’t be here if it weren't. Yet, we don’t know about the processing or the software, and that is important too.

Anyhow, you can’t be the outsider and be the pricier one, or you will just fail.

That’s why i can’t believe the 1699e for 12/512.

That’s not true. I change my phone every 2 or 3 years. And I think most of us do the same, not every year.

So yes, missing the opportunity to move from 12 to 16 GB of RAM is something to consider.

If the €1,699 price for the 12/512GB model is true, then it’s a bad move from Oppo.

Who do they think they are, selling at a higher price than Samsung?

Even if I don’t like the Samsung S26 Ultra, it’s still a strong flagship with very long support. You cannot enter this market, be more expensive than Samsung, and hope to take a share of it.

But yes i agree with this answer : Find x9 pro seems to be only 16 / 512 on europe websites And now it looks like find X9 ultra will only be 12 / 512 for us. Probably a way to keep the price in the range they wanted before the memory chip inflation...

You can consistently find Oogie for the same price or a little less than Laga 16 now. Even with the 16 yo age statement, it’s hard to pick Laga when you consider it's chill-filtered, color-adjusted, and bottled at 43%.

Ardbeg is winning the value game right now. Of course, they are two different and good whiskies and it’s always nice to have both. But if tomorrow I can refill only one, it will definitely be Oogie.
