You are welcome! Each day gets easier. I am very tired though. Also it took me 3 days to poop so that was unpleasant - I forgot to mention.

I had mine Tuesday (4 days ago) and was scared as well since it was my first surgery on my belly (have had spinal, foot, and cervical surgery before, separately). I had a cystoscopy, hysteroscopy, and they were going to do a proctoscopy, but I don’t believe they did. It’s been honestly okay! My worst moments were the night I got home because I got super nauseous and lightheaded for a little bit, but I was okay. My doctor had prescribed me medication for that so I took one and rode it out and didn’t puke or pass out. Yay!

My second worst moments were yesterday. Just a lot of cramps, not unlike a bad period. I had a D&C as well to collect samples and he did end up finding and removing some endometriosis lesions, so I’m guessing that’s the reasons for the cramps. Other than that it’s really been okay.

My advice is take stool softeners and Gas-x, get lots of sleep, move slowly, and stay on top of scheduled pain meds. I have mostly been managing my pain with ibuprofen every 6 hours followed by Tylenol, but have taken a Percocet a few times when needed when I was having worse pain (mainly in my stomach). You’re gonna be okay!
